# Privacy policy for Loop In YouTube **Last updated: 19 October 2026** Loop In YouTube is an independent browser extension for repeating YouTube videos or selected sections of a video. ## Data the extension handles When you open the extension on a supported YouTube page, it reads the page's video element to check playback position and duration, and to control playback for the loop you request. It keeps the active loop mode and section times in memory in that page only. These settings are cleared when you navigate to another video or reload the page. The extension does not read your YouTube account, playlists, watch history, search history, or video title. It does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal information, browsing history, playback position, or video content to the developer or any third party. It contains no advertising or analytics. ## Permissions - **activeTab:** lets the extension act on the current tab after you click its toolbar button. - **scripting:** lets it load its playback-control code into that tab after your click. It only operates on YouTube and YouTube Music pages. ## Limited Use Loop In YouTube uses information accessed from the active YouTube page only to provide the user-requested video repeat feature. It does not transfer that information to any person or company. The use of information received from Google APIs, if any, adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. ## Changes and contact If the extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the change is released. For privacy questions, contact the extension publisher through the support contact shown on its Chrome Web Store listing.
