# Hide and Seek app

An Android app build with Jetpack Compose for a game of hide and seek across almost any city (I hope). The hiders use the app to draw useful cards and can use them against the seekers.


## Installation

Install the Hide and Seek app by downloading the latest version from the releases pages. The app only supports Android versions 12-15, but notifications may not work on Android 12.
## Game Rules

The game was inspired by the [We Played Hide And Seek Across Japan]("https://youtu.be/PHjkSKQSzv4?si=p23ufGtchQvq1cTZ") YouTube video by JetLag The Game. You can find the rules of the game at 0:40 minutes.

## Usage

When starting a game, the hiders get a code that has to be shared with the other player(s). Once they are all in the game, the hiders can start it.
In the app, there can only be one hider in the game, but an unlimited number of seekers can join.
When the seekers ask a question (the app doesn't have this feature, yet), depending on what type it is, the hiders draw 1, 2 or 3 cards and pick one of them to keep. The hiders can use the cards they have at any time, by tapping play. Every seeker will receive the card and can dismiss it for everyone. Beware, the hiders receive notifications when you dismiss a curse!
When the hiders exit the game (by tapping the three dots in the upper-right corner), the game will end. The seekers can join and exit anytime during the game.
