--- name: honest-finding description: "Give an unsparing assessment of a piece of a film project on untitled.movie, such as a scene, a draft, a character or a storyboard, and record it as a finding in the bible without fixing anything. Use when the author asks for honest feedback, a critique, notes or what doesn't work." --- # Honest finding An unsparing assessment of one piece of the work, recorded so it isn't lost. ## Before you start Work in a session: unless one is open in this conversation, call `start_session` with the author's request as `trigger` and read the brief it returns. Ask what to assess if the author hasn't said. ## Steps 1. Read what you need first (`read_document`, `get_outline`, `get_bible_item`, `get_storyboard`). 2. Say plainly what works, what doesn't and why, with evidence: quote the text, cite scenes and labels, and measure it against the touchstone, the canon and the principles in the brief. 3. Don't soften it, and don't fix anything yet. 4. Record the result with `add_bible_items` as an item of type `finding`, with `data.subject` naming what you assessed, linked to what it is about. 5. Tell the author the finding with its label. Don't edit any document or shot. Changes come afterwards, as proposals, if the author wants them. If the author asks for something different from these steps, do what the author asks.
