# Core-literacy reference Use the wording for the correct school stage. Select only one or two dimensions as primary in one lesson. ## General design model Core literacy forms while learners solve a problem in context. It is not a knowledge label attached to a lecture. - **Authentic context:** a concrete situation from learner life, society or a disciplinary phenomenon. It must generate a real unresolved problem. - **Performance task:** an inspectable act such as explain, write, model, decide, design, test or present. It externalizes the selected dimension. - **Learning activity:** the sequence learners need in order to complete the task: observe, operate, annotate, discuss, read, model, draft, test, compare and revise. - **Performance assessment:** criteria aligned to the task, embedded during the work and at the end. The exit check is a transfer case, not a detached recall sheet. ## Technology, arts, PE and labor These subjects default to practice, creation, operation, decision and public display rather than content exposition: - IT: identify an information problem, represent the process, build or modify a digital artifact, test it, then address responsible use. - Arts: perceive a work or cultural situation, make an artistic choice, create or perform, explain the choice and revise from feedback. - PE and health: perform, observe technique or behavior evidence, adjust, and connect the decision to health and sportsmanship. - Labor: plan a real task, operate safely, inspect the product or service, improve it and reflect on habits, quality and responsibility. Evaluate the real performance or artifact. A knowledge-recall quiz may support diagnosis but cannot replace the task.
