When a website won’t load

“Frame with ID 0 is showing error page” came from Chrome’s error screen. It does not mean the business website is offline. Placework now reports the actual connection error and retries temporary failures twice.

If the error says “DNS” or “ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED”

  1. Open Chrome’s Security settings below.
  2. Find Use secure DNS. Select a provider such as Google Public DNS or Cloudflare rather than the current provider, then try opening the website.
  3. Return to Placework and click Retry failed websites. Your Maps results and successful contacts are retained.

This is a Chrome setting you control. The extension cannot change DNS settings automatically. On a managed device the setting may be controlled by your administrator.

Other errors

For a timeout or reset, reconnect and retry. For a certificate warning or access challenge, inspect the website normally; Placework does not bypass those screens.
