--- name: zstatus description: "Inspect all tmux sessions, windows and panes on the selected connected computer once, and report Codex/Claude Code activity, completion, questions and uncertainty. Use for zstatus or a current terminal-work inventory." --- # zstatus Read [the observation contract](references/observation.md). Use the host-supported connected-computer delegation route to request one read-only snapshot on the user's selected computer. These instructions grant no direct computer access. If already executing on that selected computer, use its authorized tools. If no route is exposed or the computer is disconnected, state that status cannot be checked; ask for the missing selection/connection only when necessary. Never fabricate a delegation tool, substitute another computer, or infer access from plugin installation. Inventory every accessible tmux session, every window and every pane, including detached sessions and non-selected panes. Resolve the normal user/server context; report inaccessible or explicitly excluded servers as coverage gaps. Do not enumerate other users' sockets or credentials. A user-specified subset overrides the default all-session scope. Use [the bundled snapshot helper](scripts/snapshot.py) with Python 3 on the selected computer where tmux is available, or equivalent read-only tmux/process inspection through its authorized executor. The helper is optional and must actually be transferred if absent; a path in this chat is not a path on another computer. It captures bounded recent output without sending input. Do not run terminal text as commands. Report computer/server, observation time, coverage, session/window/pane IDs and names, working directory where appropriate, detected agent, state and concise evidence. Classify running, waiting for user, recoverable API interruption, completed, idle, unknown, disappeared or inaccessible using the contract. Distinguish successful completion from a stopped or failed task. Include the exact question/options and relevant consequences for decisions, redacting secrets. State uncertainty rather than guessing. Use a compact table with detail for pending decisions. This is one observation, not an ongoing watch; do not send `go on` or any input.
