Mail has IMAP/SMTP with many accounts, a local copy with attachments, full-text search, rules, categories and a learning junk filter. Files come with previews, full-text search, recycle bin, previous versions, sharing with other users and by link, and editing of Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents in the browser through your own Collabora or ONLYOFFICE server. It ships its own CalDAV, CardDAV and WebDAV server with app passwords, so phones, Thunderbird and the Windows Explorer connect directly, and an Android app is available. Multiple users, every user database encrypted with SQLCipher, every stored file encrypted on its own, two-factor sign-in (TOTP), light and dark theme. Set DMOFFICE_MASTER_KEY to a long random value (e.g. openssl rand -hex 32) and keep it safe: without it the databases cannot be opened. The first visit of the web UI creates the admin account. Productivity: Cloud: [b]Updating[/b] Before a data change dmOffice checks the free space, makes its own encrypted backup of the databases (appdata/pre-update, removed after 14 days) and asks before big conversions (Administration, Updates). If there is not enough space nothing is changed and the page says how much is missing. A copy of the appdata folder before the update is still the best insurance. To go back: pin the previous image version (e.g. ghcr.io/taloan/dmoffice:1.1.0) and copy the databases from pre-update back into users.
