Sharing: Data is stored securely via Base44 cloud servers. We never sell or share it. Questions? Contact: skinscholar.social@gmail.com AI AND DATA PROCESSING: SkinScholar uses Claude AI, developed by Anthropic, to power Sage's responses. When you interact with Sage or request AI analysis, the following data may be sent to Anthropic's API: - Your skin condition logs - Flare-up records - Daily check-in data - Photos you explicitly share in chat - Ingredient scan requests This data is used solely to generate your personalized response. Anthropic does not store your personal data for training purposes. Anthropic's privacy policy: https://anthropic.com/privacy FACE AND SKIN PHOTO DATA: SkinScholar allows users to optionally photograph visible skin areas for personal tracking purposes. Collection: Photos are taken only when explicitly initiated by the user. No automatic or background photo capture occurs. Storage: Photos are stored securely in Base44's cloud infrastructure and are accessible only to the account holder and SkinScholar's development team for operational and support purposes. Use: Photos are used solely for the user's personal skin tracking, progress comparison, and optionally for AI analysis when the user explicitly requests it. Third parties: Photos are never sold or shared for advertising. When a user explicitly shares a photo with Sage (AI chat), that image is sent to Anthropic's API (anthropic.com/privacy) solely to generate the user's requested analysis. Anthropic does not retain or train on this data. Retention: Photos are retained until the user deletes them individually or deletes their account entirely. No facial recognition, biometric identification, or face mapping is performed on any photo. You may opt out of AI features by not using Sage chat or AI analysis features. Core tracking features (logging, history, trends) work without sending data to Anthropic.
