Here again the concurrence of spatial illusion contrasted against physical presence is expressed. There is also a duality in the thick layers of surface material built up of watercolor-painted paper, giclee prints, and sometimes chicken wire which plays against the surface illusionary textures of intricate marbleized swirls."
