## Commons Clause Use Limitation

"Software" refers to Picsou Finance and any related documentation, configuration
files, and derivative works.

You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the Software for personal,
non-commercial, educational, or research purposes without restriction.

You may **not**:

1. **Sell** the Software — including offering it (or any derivative work) as a
   service, as part of a service, or as a commercial product.
2. **Use** the Software as the basis for, or as a feature within, a commercial
   SaaS product, platform, or managed service, except as provided in the
   Hosting Exception below.
3. **Distribute** the Software under a commercial license without explicit
   written permission from the copyright holder.

"Sell" means any commercial exploitation of the Software, including but not
limited to: (a) offering the Software or derivative works as a paid service
(SaaS, PaaS, etc.); (b) embedding the Software into a commercial product; or
(c) using the Software to provide paid consulting or professional services

### Hosting Exception

The restrictions above do **not** prevent a hosting provider or individual from
offering managed hosting of the **unmodified** Software, provided that:

- The Software is made available to end users in its original, unmodified form
  (configuration changes and deployment adjustments are permitted).
- The hosting provider does not claim ownership of, rebrand, or present the
  Software as its own product.
- The hosting provider does not combine the Software with proprietary
  modifications that add significant new functionality beyond configuration
  and deployment.
- End users retain the same rights to the Software as granted by this License.

### Clarifications

- Contributing back to the original project (pull requests, issues, forks for
  contribution purposes) is always welcome and encouraged.
- Using the Software internally within a company for its own employees' personal
  finance tracking is permitted, provided it is not offered as a service to
  external customers.
