The developer does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. ## What stays on your device The following are stored in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB only: - Books you import (EPUB, PDF, TXT) - Reading positions and progress - Highlights, notes, and saved vocabulary - Reader preferences (theme, font, layout) This data never leaves your device. ## What is sent to third-party services Network requests are made only in direct response to your actions: - **Click "Define" on a word** — the word is sent to `https://api.dictionaryapi.dev` to retrieve its definition. See https://dictionaryapi.dev for their privacy practices. - **Click the 🔊 audio button when no recording exists** — the word is sent to `https://translate.google.com/translate_tts` to retrieve a text-to-speech audio file. See https://policies.google.com/privacy. No other data is transmitted.
