LinguaVault ("we", "us", or "our") operates the LinguaVault Chrome Extension. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our service.

We collect two primary types of data to provide and improve our service to you:

- **Email Address**: When you sign up via Supabase/Google Auth, we store your email address to sync your vocabulary across devices.

### B. Usage Data & Content
- **Text Content**: We process the text you select for translation. We may store fragments of this text in your personal "Vault" if you choose to save them.
- **Source URL**: When you save a word, we store the URL of the page where you found it to provide you with the learning context.

## 2. Shared Data and Third Parties

- **Translation Providers**: Selected text is sent to third-party translation services (e.g., DeepL, OpenAI, MyMemory) based on your configured providers. These services receive only the text fragment required for translation.
- **Backend Service**: Data is securely stored in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) database.

## 3. Data Retention

We retain your vocabulary data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account or specific data points at any time through our dashboard.

## 4. Security

The security of your data is important to us. We use standard encryption and authentication protocols (JWT via Supabase) to protect your personal information.
