Installation notes Some of the modules can be installed in debian: apt-get install libdate-manip-perl libdatetime-perl libdatetime-format-pg-perl libfile-mimeinfo-perl libfile-remove-perl libfile-slurp-perl libfreezethaw-perl libhttp-browserdetect-perl perlmagick libmime-lite-perl libnet-scp-perl libsys-cpuload-perl libtemplate-perl libtest-warn-perl libtext-autoformat-perl libunicode-maputf8-perl libdata-buffer-perl libdigest-md2-perl libsort-versions-perl libclass-errorhandler-perl libconvert-asn1-perl libmodule-build-perl libio-stringy-perl lsof libdata-dump-perl libberkeleydb-perl libdbi-perl libproc-processtable-perl libdata-validate-domain-perl libtest-pod-coverage-perl g++ libwww-perl libtest-pod-perl libnet-ip-perl libdigest-hmac-perl libdatetime-set-perl libdatetime-format-mysql-perl libperl-critic-perl libtest-distribution-perl libtest-perl-critic-perl libdevel-cover-perl libtest-differences-perl libidna-punycode-perl libnet-dns-perl libdatetime-format-http-perl libtest-strict-perl libdatetime-event-recurrence-perl libjson-perl libxml-simple-perl libcgi-pm-perl libemail-mime-perl libtest-deep-perl build-essential libhtml-tokeparser-simple-perl liblog-trace-perl libtest-assertions-perl libnet-ssh2-perl libhtml-formattext-withlinks-perl libemail-mime-createhtml-perl libjson-xs-perl libnumber-format-perl libhttp-parser-xs-perl libnumber-bytes-human-perl libdata-guid-perl libterm-readline-gnu-perl libdatetime-incomplete-perl libencode-detect-perl Check for needed modules by running perl Makefile.PL make make test Note: Spreadsheet-ParseExcel is included here in order to get the supported version. Installation of Crypt::OpenPGP is OPTIONAL, and can be done in this order: apt-get install libcrypt-des-ede3-perl libcrypt-rijndael-perl libcrypt-blowfish-perl libcrypt-cbc-perl 1. Math::Pari 2. Crypt::DSA 3. Class::Loader 4. Convert::ASCII::Armour 5. Crypt::Random 6. Crypt::Primes 7. Tie::EncryptedHash 8. Crypt::RSA 9. Crypt::IDEA 10. Crypt::CAST5_PP 11. Crypt::RIPEMD160 12. Crypt::Twofish 13. Crypt::OpenPGP If you are using apache2, you will need libapache2-mod-perl2 (debian package). Create a file /etc/apache2/conf.d/paraframe with the content: unshift @INC, '/usr/local/paraframe/lib'; Or where you have put it. Make sure to enable the userdir module if you are using /home/myself/public_hyml/ for development. Also enable the perl module. I will assume you are using .htaccess, since a lot of functionality depends on it. Be sure to allow using .htaccess in your webroot by using "AllowOverride All". For example: Options Indexes FollowSymLinks -MultiViews AllowOverride All This should be set in /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/userdir.conf and in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default, depending on your configuration. You can turn off apache functionality that is replaced by paraframe, like MultiViews. MultiViews will interfere with the uri2file lookup functionality. Here is an example .htaccess file placed in /var/www/pf-test : Options -MultiViews ErrorDocument 404 /pf-test/page_not_found.tt ErrorDocument 406 /pf-test/page_not_found.tt SetHandler perl-script PerlHandler Para::Frame::Client PerlSetVar port 7788 create a symlink in your site to the html/pf dir. If you are setting up the site in the pf-test dir under the /var/www webroot, you will create /var/www/pf-test/pf as a symlink to /usr/local/paraframe/html/pf. Standing in /var/www/pf-test, you can give the command: ln -s /usr/local/paraframe/html/pf You have to start a paraframe daemon that listens to the port you choosen. In the example above, it's 7788. There is a demo/demoserv.pl you can try. You are meant to copy the file and create your own application. Try it with ./demo/demoserver.pl //host.domain.com:7788/pf-test Then start your favourite browser and visit http://host.domain.com/pf-test/ Good luck!
