# expo-video-encoder

> Encode a sequence of JPEG frames on disk into an H.264 MP4 in Expo and React Native, natively with AVFoundation on iOS and MediaCodec plus MediaMuxer on Android, and mix audio clips onto the video on iOS. No FFmpeg, no binaries, no servers. npm package `expo-video-encoder`, MIT licensed.

Install with `npx expo install expo-video-encoder` and make a development build (it has native code, so it does not run in Expo Go). Everything is imported from `expo-video-encoder`. Frames must be named `frame_000000.jpg`, `frame_000001.jpg` and so on (use `frameFileName(i)`), and every path must be a plain absolute native path, so convert `file://` URIs with `toNativePath`.
