@jravnik @MMonis standalone SAP Event Mesh is not available in BTPEA contracts, hence why you can't find it in the SAP Discovery Center. That said, there is a new Event Mesh capability in SAP Integration Suite - https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blogs-by-sap/meet-your-new-friend-emis-event-mesh-in-sap-integration-suite/ba-p/13731129. @BrianChanthat's a very good question.... deciding when to use data or notification events. As you correctly highlighted, there are performance and security considerations, and it might just end up depending on your needs. Security is a critical aspect, and in some platforms, it might be possible to establish ACLs, but then we add another layer of complexity there. I guess there is no right or wrong answer; sometimes a notification event might be enough. In other scenarios, the payload data might not be sensitive, and a data event will be great. Then there are times when you don't know when the event will be consumed and if it is not consumed in real-time the data might become stale/irrelevant if processed later.

There are many factors to take into consideration, and there might not be a straightforward answer to this dilemma.
