Error installing AS ABAP 7.52 SP04, Developer Edition

Dear all,

I am trying to install the AS ABAP 7.52 SP04, Developer Edition.

However, I am not successful, first I got this error message:

I fixed this by putting the license in the main folder as well, as described on this post:

But still i cant start the server, you see some parts are gray and not all processes are green.

Also attached you can see my log files, if you need more please let me know.

In the official SAP manual this part inst clear, do i need to specify a server, or is just 8080 enough?

Same for this part, which IP address i should add for the proxy? Or dont change it.

Also there is a mistake in the official SAP manual, the txt and the image they dont match. What is the right line?Because on this link i find it different information:

SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP Developer Edition 7.52 SP04 - Download not possible

Hello to all,

I have a problem with the downloading of the installation package of the SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP Developer Edition 7.52 SP04. When I try to download the files I'm getting a pop-up with the notice that I access premium content and that I have to provide my e-mail to get started. I'm already logged in to my account. If I am entering my e-mail address und push next nothings happen.

Coud maybe someone explain me, what I'm doing wrong and how I can get it done to download the files.

ADT VC++ 12.0 Version

Hi,

I've read the instructions to install ADT and it states, that precisely VC++12.0 is requiered. Since these packages are targeted, I believe you can't just install the latest version.

The problem is, that this version is reaching the end of extended support in April 2024 (a few months), my supervisor is declinig the installation request because of this.

Does anyone know when the VC++ version is going to be "updated" to a newer version?

Hi I have a problem in grc request, the request came to admin_detour because some approves are missing and I need to see complete stage of particular request workflow so I can find who is inactive in previous path.As it is in admin_detour we are only able to pending approver as our names but I need to see previous path approvers details,is there any log we can get to see complete log for particular grc request

Execute JavaScript method( window.open ) from ABAP

Hi All !

Is it possible to execute JavaScript Method 'window.open' with ABAP?
I've checked the demo program( DEMO_JAVA_SCRIPT_MINI_EDITOR ) and class( CL_JAVA_SCRIPT ) provided by SAP, but seems that it doesn't work.
( It seems that the JS was compiled, but not executed )

I'd like to refresh Groupware Web Page after the transaction executed on Web Gui pop-up
and the groupware web page manager asked me to execute JS method since the domain of groupware
and web gui are different. And that's the only possible way at the moment.

In short, I'd like to confirm whether JS code can be executed on AP server which is NOT ABAP.
Or is there any other way besides what was mentioned above?
I am trying with other class cl_gui_html_viewer any way 😂

ATC Configurator app F4712 - Target not found error

Hi,

I'm trying to enable ATC configurator app in the BTP ABAP (Free tier) environment. Followed the below help page to enable this app.

Enable Usage of the ABAP Test Cockpit Configurator App | SAP Help Portal

The app is visible but on clicking on the app, it gives the below error.

Target was not found.Error: adding element with duplicate id 'nw.core.aps.atc.config::sap.suite.ui.generic.template.ListReport.view.ListReport::configuration--action::'

Is there any other additional authorization to be added for this app to work? If any of you have faced this and resolved this error.

This is only happening for this app, other apps like ATC exemptions, Custom code migration app are working fine.

Skipping invoice creation in background batch job (using program SDBILLDL)

While creating an invoice through SDBILLDL via job - we have to check error log. If any error is there while creating invoice, we should restrict the system not to create an invoice for that particular document and should continue for the rest of the documents. Also, that error message should be displayed in batch job log.

Here is an example:

Delivery documents: say 1,2,3

1-Invoice should generate

2-Invoice should not get generate because there is an error in line Item Material

3-Invoice should generate.

Generate token using authorization tab error

I have an API to generate token and when executing form postman I am passing the username and password in the authorization tab and passing some grant type in body tab from postman and generating the token successfully. But when I am writing the same from ABAP it is not working. Experts, can you please suggest if I am missing something.

ATC Central Remote Server - Roadmap

Hi fellow developers,

I have a question on the ATC Roadmap in the scenario of a Central Remote Check Setup.

A minumum of NW 7.51/7.52 is required when we must use it for remote checks for say an S/4HANA Readiness assesment. If we look at the roadmap for NW 7.52, its standard support is till the year 2027 after which S/4 Foundation is the successor. However, S/4 Foundation can only be used in conjuction with a license like S/4HANA.

So my question is, what is the future of the ATC as a remote stand alone system? Are we supposed to move to ATC on BTP if we want such a setup? Or merge it with a system which has S/4HANA?

We checked and found that order number and plant is mandatory for mentioned Bapi.

Order number is created by a person in plant, and we are not able find out table name of this order number.

Where to find the table against the order number.

Material memo text is no longer working in S4 HANA version

Hello,

We had configurated some Material memo texts which were pop up un VA01 when we created a new Sales Doc. with these materials. The points is we have migrated our systems to S4 Hana and since these functionality is not working, we have a mirror system as a copy of our previous system and there is still working. I have debugged it and the problem comes with this standard FM which no longer finds the text despite it exists in STXH table:
this is where the problem comes from: I also saw that this FM have changed a lot in this newer version.

and more concretely this select

The only parameter which I could be suspecting is the language one:

the others are perfect.

But I'm unable to see why it is not finding the text related since I can see in the table the text we are looking for.

Any idea?

SAP & Outsystems - Call custom function module

I'm trying to call a custom function module that I've created in a SAP system from Outsystems, but the function does not appear in the Outsystems menu when i try to test it.

Here in this client, they've another machine were they can call some functions from SAP as you can see in the print:

Can someone help me understand what I might be doing wrong?

Or I'm thinking in the wrong way and this is not possible?

Custom Partner Function is deleted after saving

Hi Experts,

Asking for your expertise on a problem I encountered. In VA01, when I save the sales document, the custom partner function is deleted. When looking in MV45AFZZ, I can't seem to find where this deletion of partner function is happening.

I already tried debugging in USER_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE and USER_SAVE_DOCUMENT but no deletion happened. Wanted to know if you have any idea how to approach this type of problem.

Curious question about the custom code analysis, scoping and adaptation

Hi,

Recently we started S4 Conversion migration topic. At this moment we have activated the custom code usage tracking(SCMON) in prod systems couple of weeks back. On the other hand also, we had run the ATC with central ATC system (NW 7.51) despite the recommended is 7.52 version. The ATC resulted something like below for our ERP dev system

around 80K prio 1
around 12k prio 2
around 60K prio 3

We used S4HANA_READINESS_REMOTE check variant for ATC run. Out of these 150K items, the categorization is roughly as below.

So we have downloaded the result list and found some interesting topics and along with few open questions to check with the community as below.

1. Out of 150K check items, there are 132K duplicates found and only 27K are unique records. Not sure why so many duplicate was reported in ATC result. Does this is common behavior in ATC findings?

2. After excluding $TMP objects the final unique came around 12K check items. So, I'm curious to know now how many items of this we can do the adaptation before SUM and how do we need to categorize those which can be done with S4HANA upgradation?

3. I agree we need to wait few more months of SCMON data from the productive system, but once that is ready how do we need to exclude those from ATC result list to focus only the final scope of custom code to do adaptation during preperation and realization phase.

4. Does there any general recommendation on what is the best practice to do estimation and potential changes that need to be done for each of 6 different check categories in this check variant? This is crucial for us to do the effort estimation with t-shirt sizing to know roughly which type of check message is needed how much time and how the change looks like in general for each of this check message type.

5. Any help document from SAP about Prio1 , 2 & 3 about it's definition. Which one it's must to fix for conversion project? I remember Thomas Fiedler mentioned that prio 1 and 2 is must to fix. Not sure is this still valid statement or not.

6. If we don't use NW 7.52 for remote ATC, do we see the difference in ATC result list or it's only the UI (like more statistic categories) differences which help to analyze the AT result?
