Which SAP should I choose ?

Dear all,

I am from non technical/IT background but trying to land a job in data analytics. For the last 5 months, I have been constantly learning Python, SQL and Tableau. Some people also advised me to learn SAP as one of ETL tools. However, i got confused because there are too many SAP module such as SAP BODS, SAP ABAP, SAP EDI, SAP S/4 HANA and many more. I don't know which one should I focused on. I thought all modules of SAP were under ETL tools.

Based on what I read, SAP S/4 HANA is the latest version of SAP. Can you guide and advices me which one should I choose ?

Hello SAP Community,

I'm at a bit of a juncture and could really use your sage advice. My ambition is to grow into a more technically proficient SAP consultant. My professional background is in HR SAP consulting, where my tasks included producing straightforward reports from SE16N, crafting functional specifications, and general system use. However, I haven't had the opportunity to work on system customization or venture into ABAP yet.

Recently, I've started a role as a more technical SAP consultant, dealing with a bespoke module that utilizes the SAP ERP-HCM, ERP 6.0 | EHP8, and Netweaver 7.5 infrastructure. Just for clarity, we are not using HCM Infotypes, and SAP HANA is also not in use. Instead, we're working with a MySQL database.

I'm determined to strengthen my weak areas and create a learning path for the technical elements of SAP. The problem is, the information available online is quite overwhelming, and I'm hoping this fantastic SCN community can lend a hand.

To begin with, I foresee the need to prepare Technical Design Specification (TDS) documents for customizations or for developers - this could involve ALV reports, Z Infotypes, interfaces, or system customizations.

Here's the challenge: due to my recent professional transition and the unique, customized module and specific infrastructure I'm working with in my organization, I'm unable to find a roadmap that perfectly fits my situation.

So, here's where I seek your assistance: Can we collectively devise a learning roadmap that's tailored to my unique circumstances? I would greatly appreciate recommendations on learning resources, and if you have any advice on what environment or software I should practice in. Currently, my company does not have a sandbox, or at least not one that I'm aware of...

Recruiting - (Carreers) Report refer job to a friend and collaborator

Hi Community!!

I have a doubt about the way to refer a Job to a Friend (external) and a Collab (Internal) i want to have a Report with the information about of the candidate, for example the candidate id, name, referred by, the status, and if the candidate was applied or not, and also the Referral type. I create an inform with the columns "Referrals liked on Job Requisition " but a lot of information is missing. Does anybody have created an inform like this?

Also i realized that when I refer a person (Friend or collab) the report is on blank, until the person apply to the vacancy, is that similar to you?

Hi, All

I have 5 years + of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 FinOps (Aka Microsoft Dynamics AX).
I am specialized into SCM module as a functional consultant.
It is quite difficult to look for a D365 FO Consultant role nowadays in Malaysia (Since Ringgit is weak, very costly for upgrade.) yet MNC they will have lot of opportunity. (Very competitive to join MNC. It is because I am competing with talents/elites around the world)
Recently, I have been thinking to give a shot into SAP product. In terms of the paid, demand & opportunities in the market.
Been trying to submit application to few SAP partner companies or End-user companies. They do not put me into consideration. Since I do not have any SAP experience but even though, I do have Supply Chain knowledge.
I really want to switch to SAP from the bottom of my hearth.

If anyone has the same experience as I do. Please feel free to reply.
Or you have any tips to get into SAP product, you may share to me too.

Hi, I have been immigrating to Germany for three years. I have worked in marketing and sales for many years in mostly small companies.

I want to work in SAP Sales & Distribution, I have never worked with SAP. How can I find free resources to learn by myself and take exams? I cannot afford the expensive SAP courses.

My first question: Can I learn by myself and then take an exam?

Is the SAP in Germany job market in demand?

Are there free courses for refugees?
