Hello,

I have a requirement of sending HR masterdata via HRMD_A message type. I have configured most of the part and data is being sent.
One of my requirement is, I wat to send data based on change pointers. i.e. data should be sent for those employees who have been changed since last run. It is working fine too. But it is only sending changed data. I want all infotypes segments to be sent when I run program RHALESMD to send idocs for change pointers.
Any idea on how to achieve this?

Lumpsum issue - guidelines show 0 and Lumpsum field cannot be filled in the form

I'm using the lumpsum in the form and i do have this uploaded:

Now when I launch the form, Lumpsum target is shown correctly but Lumpsum guidelines show 0 for all people and Lumpsum allocation field cannot be filled by the planner.

it looks like Lumpsum eligibility works as some rows its greyed out and some not, but again i cannot fill anything in the field in the form.

what can be an issue?

Time Types Split in SALDO Table

Hi Experts,

I am struck with an issue in Time management. In our current Time Evaluation we accumulate the total scheduled hours in a Time Type "ZNEH" which is currently going beyond the set limit of 7 by SAP. This is triggering a Time Evaluation DUMP, the only solution we can think of is splitting the Time Type and saving the additional Hours beyond 99999.99 in another Time Type "ZNE1". I have created the Time Type and also created a PCR as below, but nothing works. When i Run Time Eval I see the new Time Types but with Value "0", as i think its picking them from table T555A. Any Solutions will be highly appreciated.

Time Type 1: ZNEH

Time type for additional Hours: ZNE1

ZMAXH: Constant Value from t511k - 99999.99

Custom field with lookup formula, returns N/A after filling merit etc.

Hello experts,

I have a strange problem with the simple custom field that uses lookup formula to bring data from some lookup table.

when i launch the form, the fields shows the expected numbers but the moment i try to fill some merit or other recommendation for specific employee, the field of that employee changes to N/A value and stays like that.

what can be an issue?

Run command line (DOS prompt) on local PC using WEBGUI

Dear expert,

We are migrating customer system from ECC6.0 to ECP

Our customer has asked me to use WEBGUI to run a command line (DOS prompt) on a local PC (to launch Excel or a BAT file). This works with SAPGUI in ECP however our customer hope to execute WEBGUI.

Specifically, WS_EXECUTE is used in an add-on program, and I have confirmed that this function does not work with WebGUI.

I tried changing CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>EXECUTE, but it did not work until I executed the command line on the local PC.

Is it possible to get the same behavior as the above WS_EXECUTE to work with WebGUI?

User validation error due to mandatory Event Reason for Job Information from the 2H 2025 release.

Hello team,

As you know, starting with the 2H 2025 Release, the Event Reason field is now mandatory for the ONB-RCM integration. If it is not mapped, this change will trigger a business process error, preventing the candidate from moving from ONB to RCM

There are several blogs and KBAs that explain how to address/prevent this issue, either by creating a business rule or by using the Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping tool (0003205529, 3232848, 0003671856 ).

After analyzing the available options, we decided to map it using the Recruit-to-Hire Data Mapping tool. However, even after implementing this solution, we are still facing issues in our test environment, so I hope someone here can help us address them.

As mentioned in the notes I shared earlier, I created a custom picklist field in each existing job requisition, using external code values identical to the existing hire event external codes in EC.

After doing all that, it is supposed to fix the mandatory event reason issue but we keep getting the following error:

I got a JSON Output response to check the values passed from recruiting to onboarding and it looks like this

It seems that the event reason value is being passed correctly; however, even after restarting the process from BPE, the issue persists. As a result, the onboardee remains stuck with a data validation error and does not appear in the ONB dashboard

For context:

I have tested with multiple candidates in different job Reqs and the behavior is the same,
The event-reason standard field wasn't created in manage business configuration so I created it recently (I don't know how ONB worked before that)

I’m sharing my experience with this configuration to get any suggestions, as I honestly don’t understand what’s happening here

I already opened a SAP Support ticket, if I receive a solution or an explication, I'll share it later.

How to Identify Source Tables and Fields for Legal Parameters in SAP HR Payroll

Hello,

As you know, there are many SAP standard tables where rates and parameters are maintained for payroll calculations. These values are later used in payroll schemas and rules to produce payroll results.

When a legal parameter changes, I would like to understand how I can identify from which table and which specific field the system is reading the data.
For example, tables such as T7TRG01, V_T7TRG02, V_T7TRT01, V_T7TRT02, V_T7TRT03, and similar ones.

My usual approach is to start from a wage type generated for a specific personnel number and then trace it backwards. During this process, I often end up at table T596F, but at that point I still cannot clearly identify which field or logic is used to calculate the wage type.

Is there an easier or more systematic way to analyze this?
If you have any known methods, best practices, or tips for tracing payroll calculations back to their source tables and fields, I would really appreciate your guidance.

Incorrect replication of successive Cost Centre changes from SAP SuccessFactors EC to SAP S/4HANA mi

Hello.

We are using SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud 2023 Feature Package Stack 2, with component S4HCM (release 101).

We also use SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), integrated with SAP HCM for SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud, to transfer employee data into our SAP S/4HANA system for personnel time management. The integration is delivered through the standard SAP Master Data Integration (MDI) framework. Only the workforce person mini‑master is replicated to SAP S/4HANA for time recording purposes; no other HR processes are executed in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition system.

We observed that when an employee’s cost centre is changed multiple times in SuccessFactors EC, the latest cost centre assignment is not replicated correctly to SAP S/4HANA. Instead, the employee’s Cost Center value in SAP S/4HANA automatically reverts to the original cost centre.

Example:

An employee was initially created in SuccessFactors EC with cost centre P01, and this value was replicated correctly to SAP S/4HANA.
The cost centre was then changed in SuccessFactors EC from P01 → P04, and this update was successfully replicated to SAP S/4HANA.
Subsequently, the cost centre was changed again in SuccessFactors from P04 → P‑04. Although this new value (P‑04) was visible in the COSTCENTERREF node of the payload in AIF Monitoring (/AIF/ERR, report /AIF/ERROR_HANDLING_TRANS), the mini‑master in SAP S/4HANA was incorrectly updated from P04 back to P01, instead of the expected P‑04.

Question:
Why are cost centre changes from SuccessFactors EC not replicated correctly to the mini‑master in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud from the second change onwards?

Enhanced Shared Parental Leave Pay

Hi,

We already of course have Shared Parental Leave (paid/unpaid) entered via IT0088 and feeds into IT2001 with absence type for paid or unpaid leave.

Our company is now offering enhanced payment. There are certain eligiblity criteria. I know IT88 can be configured to give enhanced maternity etc, but is this also the case for Shared Parental? Can IT88 be configured to also give a 'top up' to full pay?

PTARQ PTCOR "Display documents" Workflow details missing (white plain area instead)

since a while the PTARQ (and also PTCOR) is showing a white plain area instead of workflow details of the leave request (top area). Behavior appeared from one day to another without any changes in the system. See screenshot for details.

Can somebody help with this issue? It occurs for all Backendusers in all systems (dev, quality and prod). Changing GUI theme doesnt work.

SAP HCM OM HRMD_A idoc not updating Relationships in the target system

Hi All,

Any idea about the below issue....

SAP HCM OM.

we have Positions reporting structure as A<-B<-C<-D in system X. D is changed to report to A instead of C. This change has to interface through Idoc from SAP System X to SAP system Z.

X system and Z system had the same configuration and reporting structure before this relationship change.

The normal HRMD_A Message type and HRMD_A09 Idoc type interface is creating Idoc in X system and sending to Z system. In Z system Idoc is processed with 53 status.but in System Z its not updating the relationship change from D->A.

Debugged the FM IDOC_INPUT_HRMD for the inbound Idoc in Z System and the reason is an entry for 002 is missing in the below path IMG->Personal Management ->Organizational Management -> Basic Settings->Data Model Enhancement->Relationship Maintenance -> Maintain Relationships->Additional Data on Relationships. Table T77AR. Is this correct ?

When Checked in the table T77AR, SAP has not provided any entry for the 002 relationship. Sending OM data through HRMD_A Idoc should be already running in sevaral clients. Why SAP has not maintained an entry in this T77AR table ?

Is the reason of entry missing in T77AR is correct or any other issue is preventing the relationship update in system Z ?

PA20 and PA30: free search does not work

On one of the SAP HCM installations, Any Search does not work. SAP totally does not respond to a click, as if no action was assigned to this element.

In the debugger, I see that when run by clicking HANDLE_EVENT (CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE) gets an EVENTID ( = 35), IS_SHELLEVENT is INITIAL, IS_SYSTEMDISPATCH = X.

In addition, different users on this mandt have the problem all the time, while the next mandt of the same installation no longer has the problem.
I checked SPRO, but nothing that would trigger Free search. I could have missed something.
Can I ask for any suggestions?

Update before current payroll period is not allowed

Dear SAP folks,
In HCM, Via Replicating from SF to ECC ,
using Tx : HRSFEC_PTP_EE_REPL,
then i am getting error as "Update before current payroll period is not allowed"

basically i m enhancing one standard BADI to change IT0009 data, during replication process, there its getting error, as per my HCM functional ,what expected data need to pass, is correct , still error persists.

solution I tried :
1. Changing problematic dates of source Sf data to next day of Payroll period control record(PA03).
2.Checked Payroll Status (PU03) data, made it to blank
3.Have made retroactive changes Infotype Settings (T582A) is blank against infotype 009

still it showing error as above.
please suggest what can be done here.

Hello,

I am a business analyst, i have supported SAP SF localisation.

So i thought it is best for me to learn system implementation as SAP Consultant, i want to learn the actual system implementation and also have system access to practice.

What is the best way to approach this? Anyone gone through this route would like to help?

Prefer to borrow the roadmap from someone that has done this than waste time trying to figure it out.

My focus is on EC first, then REC-ONB, PMGM, COMP, and Time off as later modules.

Deleting Wage Type Never Used

Hello,

We created a new wage type last month and moved it to production. We then found out it was no longer needed. Since the wage type has never been used (not entered on any info-types), is it ok to delete it and transport the "delete" change to production? In SAP Help docs, I see its recommended to never delete a wage type, but rather to delimit it on T512Z/T512W. But wanted to confirm if that recommendation applies to a wage type that has zero usage, and that if we do proceed, I can do so by deleting it in test and transport it to production.
