Scmon scheduled deactivation date from solution manager

Good morning,

When i am activating SCMON tool manually in the managed system i can set the deactivation date but when i am activating from solution manager the default deactivation date is for 1 week only. How can i activate the SCMON for 1 year for instance from the solution manager?. It depends on the granularity?.

Hello.

We are trying to configure a common monitoring across our SAP Systems but we found that RZ20 sub-tree items are not the same in all systems as some of them are missing, even using the same ECC6.0 EHP. As example, R3Abap nodes are missing in one ECC6.0 EHP7 compared with another ECC6.0 EHP7 (not the same SP but the one with missing nodes has higher SP).

Is there any way to configure CCMS to get the same nodes? Maybe is needed to update CCMS monitor? I've found something about creating custom templates with a Solution Manager but I guess it should be simplier to activate missing nodes without the need of install and configure a Solution Manager.

Runtime Error in POSTING_INTERFACE_CLEARING

Hello Experts,

I am using POSTING_INTERFACE_CLEARING FM for doing mass clearing of account receivables and account payable. I have used this FM inside an Inbound Idoc FM. The Idoc will be triggered immediately.

The POSTING_INTERFACE_CLEARING is called inside a loop on Idoc data records. The clearing FM will be called twice for each iteration.

When I tried to post 5 thousand records( clearing FM will be called 10K times), It took around 2 hours for this processing and last 200 records were not processed due to below runtime errors.

Runtime error SYSTEM_NO_ROLL has occurred
Runtime error TSV_TNEW_OCCURS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY has occurred
Runtime error LOAD_NO_SPACE_FOR_TABLE has occurred
Runtime error SYSTEM_NO_MEMORY has occurred

These errors occurred in POSTING_INTERFACE_CLEARING and not in the Inbound IDOC FM.

I checked with the Basis, they are asking to split the records across multiple Idocs and the solution should work.

But my question is 10K records is not a big number and it is not a time out issue as well. Also I am clearing all the variables in my inbound FM at appropriate place. Is there anything else which I am missing.

Parallel processing causing issues

Dear All,

Need support on below query.

We have a custom program which runs in background every day to create/ change requirements. This program uses FM BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE / BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE. Since we have millions of records and database commits, it takes huge time to finish the job. To improve the performance we implemented parallel processing ( ref. Implementing Parallel Processing (sap.com) ). It has improved performance more than 40-50%.

We don not see any issues if run 3-4 parallel jobs. But if we increase the job numbers like 5, 6 etc., it causes issues like update processes are full, overloading system update queue, CPU bottleneck .

How this can be resolved from ABAP side and BASIS side to get maximum improved performance without causing system issues

Hi Team,

I want to trace ABAP code which is written in SAP BW Routines. I have given the display generated program name in SE30 tcode, but when i click on evaluate, it is not displaying the correct trace. Please advise on how to proceed.

Hello All,

Could you please provide some solution to disable messages or work items(ex. IDOCs) in Workflow in Inbox folder in SWBP T-code for some User IDs. Please note I have seen all suggestions here but does not help.

As of now all users are getting IDOCs, so just to restrict it to some of the users

Rolling Calendar week based on current date in 4 different partition

Hi Team,

I have a requirement where it has to fetch the data from Current day - 56 till Year end week(53rd week).

From Week : Current Date - 56( last 8 weeks)( Condition is if the From Week goes to the previous Year, then we will consider the 1st week of current year)
To Week   : Year End week(53rd Week) 
Example 1 : If the current date is 02.02.2023 , since the Current Date - 56 goes to the previous year, we will consider the 1st week of the current year.
           and To Week will be 202353
Example 2 : If the current date is 07.11.2023, the from Week is 07.11.2023 - 56 = 202320 
                                                   To Week                      = 202353

AS IS : Currently we have one select statement which is pulling all the records with the above from and to week filter. Since the volume of the transaction is very high( we are getting dump while fetching these many records in single shot).

TO BE : We want to split the above select statement in 4 partition( a kind of rolling partition ), so that each partition will get the same number of weeks. Below is the example scenario

Could someone help me in how to get to achieve this in ABAP. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

USE ATC to check customizing request

Hello

We have implemented the ATC server and it works correctly.

From the standard checks till some specific developments.

We would like to propose an enhancement about ATC

We think than the ATC tool could be used as well to check the customizing request to prevent the modification into some standards customizing tables.

By example, some functional process could be defined and cost a lot time and regression tests if some modification are done into, without the approval of the business owners.

I do not see any check currently possible into customizing requests, I propose to add this possbility through the ATC tool.

ABAP SQL Monitor - Request entry point is "driving" SQL statements

Dear SAP community,

I was looking for some document describing usage of SQL monitor. I have found out lots of information on blog here , but still i have some unanswered questions.

In SAP Note 3242700, there should be a link to some best practices document, but the URL is pointing to "Content unavailable".

So for my question, firstly we have to understand this information:

In the context of the SQL Monitor the term “request entry point” is used to describe one of two things:

A process that is initiated directly by a user such as calling a transaction, requesting a URL or executing a report.
A process triggered from the outside of the system such as a remote function call.

In this view, aggregation by request:

Question 1: I can see that Y0CS_RET_LUK is having value 4 in column "DB Statements", which should mean that this Request Entry Point (type Batch Job) was executing 4 different SQL statements - right?

Question 2: Going through the drilldown (clicking on value 4), i can see that Y0CS_RET_LUK was ?executing? / ?has relevant? 4 different SQL statements (I assume that "ABAP Source Code Fragment" is the exact SQL statement that is being executed by relevant Request Entry Point.):

What is the difference between Y0FC_BNT and Y0CS_RET_LUK, how are they relevant? Those are two different objects. The confusion got worse when i have created SWLT report:

Static check Findings (lower right part) is reporting an issue in SELECT for FORM OBJNUM_GET_FOR_S which is part of SAPLY0FC_BNT (object Y0FC_BNT).

In SQL Monitor Results (lower left part), i can see a list of Request Entry Points, and Y0CS_RET_LUK is on first place, with the SQL:

"SELECT VKONT INTO TABLE LT_VKONT FROM FKKVKP WHERE GPART EQ IV_GPART AND STDBK IN LR_BUKRS." - This SQL is in SQL monitor relevant to Y0FC_BNT. After analyzing the code of Y0CS_RET_LUK, this SQL is not being executed. Y0CS_RET_LUK is not using Y0FC_BNT object or include LY0FC_BNTU04.

Question 3: So what is the recommendation of this SWLT run and how to interpret it?

If we use the Static check findings and we optimize the SQL as recommended here:

What would be the outcome ? From my confused point of view, we would optimize SAPLY0FC_BNT, not Y0CS_RET_LUK performance. So how is this optimization relevant to Y0CS_RET_LUK and all the other request entry points? How are all those request entry points related to SQL "SELECT VKONT INTO TABLE LT_VKONT...." ?

Does it mean that during execution of Y0CS_RET_LUK, it somehow executes this SQL statement even if its not part of the ABAP code of this specific report/job? ..

Where can i see the output of Background Job containing program which uses Call method for Output.

Hi.

As mentioned in the question my requirement is, that my ABAP Program does not contain any variant instead, it calls for the other programs to get the output. Also, it contains multiple programs which leads to multiple outputs. So if I Run it manually I get the output one after the other.

But I want to schedule this program as a background job. So if I normally schedule the programs as a background job, I can see their output as a spool request.

I have tried scheduling this program as a background job, and it shows that the job is completed. But unlike other background jobs that contain programs with variants, this doesn't show any spool requests generated.

It says the job is complete. So if the job is complete the program output should be stored somewhere in the SAP server. I've checked in SP01 too. It shows the same result. There is no Spool Generated. I just want to know where the outputs of the scheduled background jobs are stored in SAP even when there are no variants used and the program itself can get its own output using the call method. Can someone please help me with this? I have been looking out for almost a week now. 😞

User Defined Search in SAP ABAP Monitoring: SXMB_MONI for Synch messages
