Execute "BAPI_BUPA_PFCT_GETFUNCTDETAIL" in RPA

I am creating automation in iRPA

I am using BAPI SDK

I want to execute BAPI: "BAPI_BUPA_PFCT_GETFUNCTDETAIL"

I get the following error: "Error: BAPI exception : MESSAGE_TYPE_X\n at a._handleResponse"

I am probably setting "Imports parameters" in wrong way but I have no documentation showing me what exactly should I do.

Do you know what might cause this problem or do you have documentation for this specific BAPI Name?

We are currently developing a project using SAP Build Code Fullstack. As part of this initiative, we needed to integrate the schema, services, and applications from a previously developed project in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).

The migration was successfully completed in terms of file structure and syntax. The views in test mode render correctly and maintain the same structure as in the original BAS project. However, when working in the SAP Build Code environment, we consistently encounter the following issue:

Displayed message:

"Storyboard editor for 'MonitorFacturasBuild' will be displayed without attributes due to size limitations"

Once this message appears, the entire development environment freezes, and we are unable to interact with any files or components. Reloading or exiting the page does not resolve the issue, and the problem persists with every session.

Unable to Access External Services from SAP Build Code-Based Fiori App

I have developed a Fiori application using SAP Build Code which primarily handles the frontend. The application is deployed in my SAP BTP subaccount and is functioning correctly from the UI perspective.

However, when attempting to integrate external services—specifically backend services that are already deployed in the same BTP subaccount—those services are not visible or accessible in the application. I have confirmed that:

The backend services are successfully deployed and running.
The destinations are configured correctly in BTP Cockpit.

I have been creating a sap mdk application using sap build code. So, I have encountered an issue where I have to save the edited values of a Data Table and push it to backend. I have two columns in Data Table which are editable. So, I want that if someone edits the value of the editable columns and clicks on save then it should push to the backend. Which Joule Command in Build Code Can Explain Each File in a Folder?

In buid code’s Joule, is there a command that can explain the program files in the currently open folder? I’d like to get explanations for each file in a folder I cloned from a tutorial. Also, I saw a blog where someone asked Joule questions without typing a command at the beginning—how do they do that?

Page Mounted Event not called in published app

Hey,

I implemented some logic that a record collection is called when the page was mounted.

In the preview this works just fine, but when I publish the app, it seems like the event istn't even called. I placed toast after every action in the logic tab and the first toasts (after Page mounted & Page focused) aren't showing up.

Did someone have this issue before?

Performance difference between SAP BTP Free Account and Paid Account?

Hi Community,

I’m currently working with an SAP BTP Free Account and I’ve noticed some performance limitations when running applications and services (for example, SAP Build Apps, CAP services, and OData calls).

Before moving to a paid account, I’d like to understand:

Are there any performance differences (speed, responsiveness, system resources) between Free and Paid accounts?
Do paid accounts get more consistent service levels (e.g., CPU/memory allocation, faster response times, higher quotas)?
Is there any official documentation or benchmarks comparing Free vs. Paid accounts?

I’d really appreciate insights from anyone who has tested both environments or moved from Free to Paid.

Build Code Is Slow to Load and Won’t Open Properly

When I try to launch Build Code, it takes a long time to load and never fully starts. It remains stuck on the screen shown in the attached image.

Occasionally, it does open, but the storyboard is blank and the Joule tab doesn’t have a place to enter prompts. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If a solution or workaround exists, please let me know.

I have created a new MDK app in the Mobile services portal, after creating the app,

it is showing status as Inconsistent, prompting me to do restore, after restoring getting the error as below,

Failed to restore application test.demo, error: ApplicationInstanceCreateRouteTaskProvider-https://3f74ba7atrial-test-test-demo.cfapps.us10-001.hana.ondemand.com -> ClientV3Exception: CF-UnprocessableEntity(10008): Assign a droplet before starting this app.

In the BTP cockpit, BindMobileApplicationRoutesToME service/application is in stopped status. While trying to start it, getting the error as Application BindMobileApplicationRoutesToME was not deployed correctly. Please delete the application and deploy it again.

I am using BTP Trial account, US region (same issue with Singapore region)

We’re trying to connect our backend SAP S/4HANA system with SAP Build Code, but we’re getting a 503 Service Unavailable error during integration.
Could someone please guide us on what configuration might be missing?

Step we followed so far..

1, In BTP Cockpit, Establish a Destination xxx_xx_BuildCode with Basic Authentication with Additional properties as

2. Verified in BTP Cockpit → Destination shows “Reachable”

3. Opened SAP Build App → Control Tower → Add Destination and successfully added the same destination.

4, Created a project (Web + Mobile) → Navigated to Integration tab → Add Integration → BTP Destination → Selected the same destination. At this point, we receive the error:

Has anyone experienced this issue before or can suggest possible reasons for this 503 error?

Btp trial and sap build code with joule

Following the sap tutorial i am not able to create data models using joule. Getting a message like no data methods found waiting for … stuck since without the data models the next steps wont work. Foundation is running ok and the sap build code app is installed and ok.

Did i miss a step?

Hi, I have setup Joule in our project. I am able to deploy the Joule Skill in SAP Build Process Automation. I have assigned all the roles ( including extensibility developer) to to my colleagues but they are not able to deploy Joule skill and also not able to launch it. They are getting an error saying 'Project cannot be deployed by the component 'Integration Gateway'. Project cannot be deployed in this environment because the user doesn't have the required "extensibility developer" role in Joule. Please contact your administrator to get the necessary permissions.

Hello Team

I am facing issues while creating a Full Stack Application in Build Code. On clicking on create button and choosing the required configuration for Full Stack application, I am getting an error "Project Creation Failed". I have added the required roles and rerun the booster for SAP Build Code. I am able to create a Fiori Application but not a Full Stack.

I am using a Full-Stack Application Using Productivity Tools Dev Space.

I have attached the screenshot of error and the Dev Space type Used for creation.

SAP Sales Cloud V2 Opportunity Update Extension Fields via SAP Build App

Hi Experts,

I am working on SAP Sales Cloud and Service Cloud V2,

I have requirement to update Extension fields based on Some Conidtion and use them in Validation and in Dynamic Rukes.

In SAP Service Cloud V2, I have added Extension Fields in Case and able to Update using SAP Build App Update Records without any Issues.

Same way I have Created Extension fields in SAP Sales Cloud V2 , I have added Extension fields in Opportunity and follow the below method to Update the Extension fields via SAP Build App.

Step 1 : Create Destination for Sales Cloud V2

Step 2: Use the Destination to Enable the Opportunity API in Integration Tab(In SAP Build App)

Step 3 : Create Data Variable and Select the newly added API and Choose Single Record and in Property select ID/Technical ID (Opportunity UUID pass via Page Parameters)

Step 3: Add Button in SAP Build App and In logic I have added Get Record Flow Function and select the Opportunity API, and bind the Id with Page Parameters(Passing into URL),

Working Scenario for Case Extension Field

In Flow Function JavaScript we have given Input from Get Record and Output as Object

After JavaScript Output I have use to Set Data Variable as below, Using that I can see the updated value in Extension fields availaile in Data Variable.

After that I have use Update Record and pass same Data Variable as Record and I can able to update the Case Extension fields in SAP Service Cloud V2.

Not Working Scenario for Case Extension Field

Same Method same steps but Opportunity API but getting error as below:

Error Message : Subnodes must not be present in Opportunity header patch payload

If anyone have any idea how to update the Extension fields in Opportunity via Build App Please help.

Hello community,

I am working on a Fiori migration project and would like guidance on the recommended architecture for handling multiple backend systems by region after moving to SAP BTP.

Current Architecture

An on-premise SAP Gateway hosts a set of Fiori apps.
The Gateway forwards OData calls to multiple backend systems (ECC) based on system alias.
This setup allows region-based routing, but currently all backends are technically reachable, and multiple backends may be called during app execution.

Target Architecture

Decommission the on-premise SAP Gateway system.
Host Fiori apps on SAP BTP and expose them via SAP Build Work Zone.
Keep the same backend ECC systems (one per region).
No central Gateway system remains for system-alias-based routing.

Our Proposed Approach

Define one SAP BTP Destination per backend system (e.g. one per region).
Use the same destination names across subaccounts (DEV / QAS / PRD), with destination details varying per subaccount.
Configure the Fiori app to call all destinations and aggregate the results on the UI side.

Questions

Is this approach (calling all backends and aggregating results in the UI) considered a good practice on SAP BTP?
Are there recommended alternatives for region-based backend routing without a central SAP Gateway?
How is user-region–based backend selection typically handled in BTP-centric Fiori architectures?

Any reference architectures or SAP-recommended patterns would be appreciated.
