EPD Collaboration: No workflows found in SBPA cross-subaccount setup

Hi everyone,

I am facing an issue where the SAP EPD Collaboration app cannot discover any processes from SAP Build Process Automation. The workflow dropdown in both 'Configure Collaboration' and 'Specification Types' remains empty, and the OData call to the "WorkflowProperties" returns 0 results.

Our architecture is the following:

Subaccount A: SAP Build Process Automation is subscribed and active here. This is where our processes are built and deployed.

Subaccount B : SAP EPD / IPD Collaboration is subscribed here.

Scenario: We need EPD in Subaccount B to trigger and manage workflows residing in Subaccount A.

I have attempted to bridge the two subaccounts by manually replicating the standard SBPA destinations in Subaccount B, pointing them to the Service Key credentials of Subaccount A. Specifically, I configured sap_process_automation_service and sap_process_automation_service_user_access.

I've searched but could not find any official documentation or for connecting these specific apps (EPD to SBPA) across different subaccounts. Most guides assume a single-subaccount setup where the SAP Booster handles the wiring automatically.

My questions:

Are these two specific destinations (sap_process_automation_service andsap_process_automation_service_user_access) designed to work across subaccounts for EPD discovery?

Does this scenario require an Identity Trust (SAML/OIDC) between the subaccounts for the discovery phase?

Any suggestions for this "split" architecture would be greatly appreciated.

Issues Migrating from DEV to QAS Using CTMS with SAP Build Apps and SAP Build Process Automation

When using SAP Build Apps and SAP Build Process Automation,
I encountered issues migrating from the DEV environment to the QAS environment via CTMS.
It seems the problem is related to the scheme version, as the release process fails.

As a workaround, I tried changing the scheme version before releasing, but I couldn’t find a successful method.
In SAP Build Process Automation, I even had to remove all dependencies to import the package, which is not ideal.

Is there any effective way to handle this migration without removing all dependencies or facing scheme version conflicts?
Any best practices or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

対策としてscheme versionを変更してリリースを試みましたが、成功する方法が見つかりませんでした。
特にSAP Build Process Automationでは、パッケージをインポートするために依存関係をすべて削除する必要があり、
非常に非効率的です。

依存関係を削除せず、scheme versionの問題を回避して移送する良い方法やベストプラクティスはありますでしょうか？

SAP Build Authorization for trial account

In BTP cloud i have created destination for ABAP and connection is success and reachable .

The issue is from BUILD App , when trying to access the ABAP system via the destination created in BTP Cockpit we are getting below error .

Error message : "You don't have permission to access this system. Choose another system or reach out to your admin."

Please suggest solution .

Unable to Deploy Joules Skills in SAP BPA - ClientNotFound

Hello, I have an error when I try to deploy or test Joule in SAP BPA.

"The project cannot be deployed by the component "Integration Gateway". Error while trying to connect to Joule - JouleClientService - invalid_client - Client Not Found"

I have the roles for das-application but it still doesn't reaches. Also, when I try to test, the environments don't show up.

Given the decision table UUID (and optional the version), Is there a way to access the contents of a decision table via an API so that it can be further used in a CAP app? Basically I am looking to have the contents as a JSON to run some validations and preferably also past versions of the decision table contents so that they can be compared for changes.

Unable to Access CAP Application Entity from Destinations in BPA Actions

My application is deployed on Cloud Foundry in one BTP account, while I have created an OAuth2UserTokenExchange destination in a different BTP account ( using XSUAA service Bindings - clientId, Client Secret , Token Service URL., etc ). When I try to perform a read operation on an entity from BPA Actions using this destination, I encounter the following error.

I am trying out SAP Build App triggering a Process automation workflow in the Practice system provided by SAP via My Learning

The workflow has its own Form trigger.
The workflow is released, deployed and published to the build app library.
The workflow is tested.
I have added and enabled the workflow in the Integration tab of the Web and Mobile project.

However, when I add the Trigger Workflow flow function, I am not getting the process to select from and instead getting this:

"You have not integrated any processes that can be triggered via API to your project. Please go to the "Integrations" tab to start integrating with SAP Build Process Automation."

Am I missing any steps?

SAP Task Center cannot connect SAP BPA because Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS not recogniz

Hey there,

we got a strange situation. We have set up SAP Work Zone, advanced edition in one subaccount and also SAP Task Center in this subaccount. It works fine. Even tasks of Work Zone get into the Task Center. We have a destination for Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS in this subaccount, and the service status is also okay.

So now we want to add SAP Build Process Automation with plan build-default that lives in another subaccount. So we got into the subaccount of Work Zone and Task Center and created the destination SAPBuildPA_rem, as it is in another subaccount. As soon as we enable the Task Center on this destination with tc.enabled=true, Task Center Administration will recognize it, but say there is an error. I think it was something like Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS also needs to be there, and somehow the service tab then also showed errors for the service now. We added the Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS destination as well for the subaccount of SAP BPA, even though it's not stated in the documentation. But somehow it will still fail for the SAPBuildPA_rem destination in the Task Center Administration and say Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS could not be found for subaccount ID <where SAP BPA lives>, which is not true, as this destination exists.

What is wrong?

Due to connectivity issues the next try to get task data will start in 30 seconds. Exception: {"error":{"code":"sap.workflowservice.ids.unavailable","message":"Unable to find destination Identity_Authentication_Connectivity_IDS for tenant: '********************'"}}

We have problems in general that we can also not get SAP Build Process Automation into Work Zone advanced. The inbox also states an error. The authentication of SAP BPA is behind a corporate IDP, and for Work Zone and Task Center, it is not. But this still makes no sense for the main Task Center error.

As per SAP documentation, SAP Build is a bundle that includes the following services:

SAP Build Apps
SAP Build Process Automation
SAP Build Work Zone

I would like to clarify the licensing and subscription aspect.

If we subscribe only to SAP Build, is that sufficient to create and deploy mobile applications using SAP Build Apps?

Or do we need to purchase/subscribe to SAP Build Apps separately, even though it is part of the SAP Build bundle?

It would be helpful if someone could explain:

Whether SAP Build Apps is automatically included with SAP Build

Or if it requires an individual subscription/entitlement

Any limitations (users, runtime, mobile deployment) with SAP Build Apps under SAP Build

BPA Unable to verify the signature of the archive (Transport Joule Skills)

Hi guys, could anyone help me out?

In SAP Build Process Automation (BPA), I’m trying to migrate/transport a Joule Skill project from Subaccount A (US, Azure) to Target Subaccount B (another region, US VA, AWS).

The import fails with this error:

Unable to verify the signature of the archive. Make sure the landscape keys from landscape us21-prod are imported in your landscape, if not, contact DevOps. Ensure that the other potential reasons for this error are checked. This error could happen for the following reasons: Couldn't get key xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx version from credential store.

The same error - Transport and Upload proyect.

I’ve searched everywhere and couldn’t find anything useful.

I did find an SAP Note that suggests using a tenant in the same region, which is honestly very limiting because it would force us to change our entire landscape design just because of BPA:

Has anyone found a way to solve this (e.g., importing landscape keys / fixing credential store key access) and successfully transport BPA/Joule projects across regions?

Business Partner creation $batch fails at “Call Web Service” in SAP Build Process Automation (BPA)

Hi everyone,

I am using SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) together with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition to execute SAP’s standard template “Mass Create of Business Partners (58Z)”.
My goal is to create Business Partners via the API_BUSINESS_PARTNER OData service using a $batch POST request.

However, the automation fails at the Call Web Service step with the following error:

irpa_core.error.RequestError: Response code 401 (Unauthorized)

The earlier steps run successfully; the issue occurs only when BPA executes the actual $batch POST for Business Partner creation.

Environment

Target system: SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Main automation tool: SAP Build Process Automation (BPA)
Scenario: Create Business Partners via API_BUSINESS_PARTNER $batch
Template: Mass Maintenance of Business Partners (58Z)

Current problem

BPA reaches the Call Web Service activity that performs:

POST https://<tenant>-api.s4hana.cloud.sap/sap/opu/odata/sap/API_BUSINESS_PARTNER/$batch

At this moment, BPA throws:
401 Unauthorized (irpa_core.error.RequestError)
Additional data I can provide (sanitized)
- Communication User / System / Arrangement screenshots
- BPA logs for HEAD and Call Web Service (request/response headers)
- If needed, I can test in Postman using the same Communication User and share:
  - GET A_BusinessPartner?$top=1
  - HEAD x-csrf-token: fetch
  - POST $batch

Clarification on SAP Build Apps Subscription Visibility under build-default Plan

Dear SAP Support Team,

We need your clarification regarding SAP Build Apps subscription visibility in our SAP BTP subaccount.

Currently, our subaccount has the following subscriptions active under the build-default plan:

SAP Build Process Automation – build-default

SAP Business Application Studio – build-default

SAP Build Work Zone, standard edition – build-default

As per SAP documentation and licensing understanding, SAP Build Apps is included within the build-default plan and does not appear as a standalone subscription.

However, when we attempt to create a project using Create Project → Web Application (low-code) in SAP Build Apps, the system displays the status as “Not Subscribed”, which creates confusion from an entitlement perspective.

Could you please confirm:

Whether SAP Build Apps entitlement is correctly provided through the build-default plan in our subaccount, and
Why the project creation wizard displays “Not Subscribed” despite the build-default plan being active.

Your confirmation will help us proceed and also communicate the correct information to our stakeholders.
