Users have shared some feedbacks and they would like to get an access to an Outbox application to see what they have validated, like in the old SAP world.

Hi,

I'm trying to automate the upload WO attachment but couldn't find solution for it.

I tried automating SAP GUI but it didn't worked in VM-background. It need the VM to be login and focused to run the automation without error.

I tried API, API_CV_ATTACHMENT_SRV using action but it create new file instead of uploading existing file.

Any help is much appreciated...

As a part of SAP BTP Trial version, we are working on activating Build process automation bot -Automatic Creation of Sales Orders from Excel (4G5)

The target instance on which the BOT is deployed is S/4HANA on premise system, We are referring to below SAP link

I have the following questions

1) What should be entered as SYSTEMURL_ODATA ? Sample value mentioned in product documentation is https://<System>-api.<domain>/sap/opu/odata/sap . Which api should be mentioned here. Can some one help with the exact string ?

2) For on -premise system what is meant by technical user ?

3) For on -premise scenarios does API_SALES_ORDER_SRV/A_SalesOrderInformation needs to be activated specifically and any users assigned ?

Could some one point to step by step details for on-premise systems ?

How to setup SAP Build process automation action project and cap multi tenant application?

In tutorial Create an action project using the OpenAPI specification of a simple CAP Service the configuration of an action-project/action to access a simple CAP application in the same BTP subaccount than the SAP Build process automation service/subscription is described.

But what if the CAP application is a multi tenant application, where the application provider is in the same subaccount than the SAP Build process automation service (and SAP Build process automation subscription) and multiple subscriber of the CAP application are located in their own BTP subaccount.

How is the SAP Build process automation setup/configuration in this case?

API_PRODUCTION_ORDER_2_SRV - Calling from Build Process Automation/ Build Process

Hi Friends,

we are trying to explore the option of using the API - API_PRODUCTION_ORDER_2_SRV to create Production Orders for a requirement using Build Process. we are working on S4 Hana on Premise .

we are able to establish the connection from our Sandbox to Build Process and able to call the API - API_PRODUCTION_ORDER_2_SRV - Reading the Production Order Information using GET Method works fine from Build Process.

for creation of Production Order - we are trying to use the POST Method.

1. Manufacturing Order is mandatory for the API to test it from Build Process even though we are trying to create the Production order. This is not the same if we test the API using Gateway method. I tried to pass some dummy number to this field.

2. Total Quantity field - we are receiving the error. Below is the error which we are receiving when we try to test the POST Method under Actions

Failed to read property 'TotalQuantity' at offset '81'

Really appreciate if you can provide some guidance.

SAP Build Process Automation - Error on action 'Deployment is not activated'

Hi, I'm developing a workflow that use an action to do GET e PUT call via API REST on a SAP System.

Yesterday all worked fine, but today, after some changes on phases after action call, I obtain this error

Action Identifier:get_zwf_sped

Destination:sap_process_automation_sap_bc

Error message:Action 'b6b0f645-5f66-460d-adb9-315d01106fc4' failed with the following error: 'Deployment is not activated'.

The Action is deployed and works fine when I test it.

Process is correctly deployed.

What means this error?

Dear Experts,

I have created a SAP Build Process Automation. The Process was working fine but all of a sudden the process is struck in error status after triggering. I am using an API to send information to CPI using Actions. The error says Action 'XXXX' failed with the following error: 'Deployment is not activated'. As per the error, I have checked the Project and it is Deployed and Active. I have tested the Action separately and it also works fine. I have checked everything and it all looks fine.

Could you please help me understand the issue and provide solution ?

SAP iRPA Process Kept Hanging

Hi everyone, recently I have noticed my clients bot kept on hitting the maximum amount of time which is 2 hours to complete an automation. This bot is an unattended bot running on a physical machine which runs every 30 minutes.

When looking into the Monitoring page, I can see there's a lot of Failed (Due to exceed amount of duration) and Expired (Only waits for 1 hour).

When checking the bot physically on my client site, I can see the bot just hangs not doing anything. Does this issue happened to anyone else?

Destination for on premise service in sap build process automation

Hi,

I Created RAP Service in my on premise system.

I created a destination of type on premise and manage to create an action project.

When I tested the action before deploying it - it worked.

I combined the action in my process, using the same destination I used to create and test the action project (with on premise proxy) and I got an error saying that only Internet proxy type is supported.

I created new destination that is the same as the old one but with internet in proxy type, but now I get a message "get addrinnfo ENOTFOUND"

Anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hello, I am fairly new to BPA and I am stuck on a problem I encountered.

I am automating a SAPUI5 Application, and I have multiple "Wait Ready(SAPUI5 Screen)" in my project for when the application is fetching backend data. The problem is that I need to handle a Timeout scenario. I have an "Or Error" node where I need to execute series of other steps when the timeout happens. However I am getting this message when I try to execute another automation from the Error node : "An asynchronous activity in a custom script may have failed. Add an await operator before each SDK activity call. Error: Wait Ready " Timeout error: Waiting for screen(s) xxx to appear (30 s)". Message mentions Custom script even though I did not use any and the On Error automation never executes. Could you please help ?

Hi All,

I am looking for best practise for migration of rules from BRMS to SAP BPA .

As I see there are couple of options

a. Decision b. Manage Rule Projects

Here are the scenarios and which tools should be the best practise ?

We have few projects which are SAP IRPA we are migrating to BPA . IRPA projects called BRMS via API . What would be a better approach here to import BRMS rules into MRP and use the API call to invoke the rules or convert the rules to decision or restructure and design the whole automation in order to use decisions ?
In case there are CAPM or other application which are consuming BRMS via API what would be a better approach Decision or Manage Rule Project

Few generic questions

Rules in Manage rule projects can be transported across tenant via CTMS
How do we achieve maintainability of decision in production tenant
In case of Manage Rule Project we see + ( Create Rule) button is disabled so incase if new rule need to be added how can we achieve the same ?

Also best practise document or link for Manage Rule Projects and Decision will be helpful.

Hiding Workflow Step Names in Business Process Automation

Background:

We are using SAP Business Process Automation (BPA) in SAP BTP
In the My Inbox UI, step names associated with each task are currently displayed at the bottom of open tasks.

Objective:

We want to hide the step names defined in the workflow from the UI.

Steps Taken So Far:

Workflow Configuration:
- We have explored the workflow configuration within BPA.
- We identified the specific step/task for which we want to hide the name .
UI Customization:
- We attempted to locate the relevant UI code responsible for rendering the step names.
- However, we couldn’t find the exact place to make the necessary adjustments.

Request:

Have any of you had the same problem and found a possible resolution?
Specifically, we want to exclude the step names from the UI while ensuring that the workflow functionality remains intact.

Is there a way to add multiple Email Search Criterias but with OR condition? Currently, if you mention 2-3 search conditions, by default it takes them as AND conditions and the search happens accordingly.

I need to add multiple search critera, but using OR condition. Does it allow such functionality?

How to export DOX templates from SAP RPA to SAP BUILD

Hi everyone,

I am moving to SAP BUILD after 2,5 years of using SAP RPA and as I perfectly managed to import my projects, I am facing some difficulties with those using DOX templates.

As far as I understood, SAP RPA and SAP BUILD cannot coexist in the same subaccount in BTP cockpit, so I installed SAP BUILD in another subaccount. What should I do to have my DOX templates available in my imported projects? Should I set up DOX in a certain way in the new subaccount, using the same service key maybe? Export/import them manually? Please note that I cannot export any of my templates on DOX UI, each attempt resulting in a pop up saying:
