Posting Issues When Using Choose Node with Override Styles in SAP Community

Hello SAP Community,

While creating a new post using the Choose Node option, I noticed that enabling override-styles sometimes changes the appearance or formatting of the post unexpectedly. I’m not sure if this is intended behavior or a configuration issue.

Has anyone experienced problems like inconsistent styling, broken layouts, or preview differences when posting across multiple nodes? Any tips on avoiding these issues would be appreciated.

How to remove SAP MDM enrollment on new MacBook Air M4 (private purchase)

Hello SAP Community,

I am a private individual from Poland who recently purchased a brand new, sealed MacBook Air 15" (2025 model with M4 chip) in a private transaction.

During the initial setup (after reset), the Mac displays the Remote Management screen pointing to SAP (https://itsupport.sap.com), indicating that the device is still enrolled in SAP's MDM / DEP / Apple Business Manager.

This is now my private property – the Mac was bought in original sealed packaging from a private seller. I do have photos of the box confirming it's a new 2025 device, but unfortunately, as it was a cash private sale, I do not have an official invoice or receipt.

I have already tried contacting itsupport@sap.com (the email bounced back as invalid for external senders) and called the CIC support line (00 800 491 1525), but without success so far.

Questions to the community / SAP experts:

1. What is the correct and most effective way for a private owner to request removal of a serial number from SAP's Apple Business Manager / MDM enrollment when the device was bought as new from a private seller?

2. Is there another contact channel, form, or escalation path specifically for such cases (unused/new devices apparently from corporate stock)?

3. Has anyone successfully resolved a similar situation with a brand new 2025 MacBook enrolled in old/corporate SAP MDM? How long did it take and what kind of proof was sufficient?

I would be extremely grateful for any guidance, advice, or help from SAP employees/moderators or other community members who dealt with similar device release requests.

Can anyone explain what happened with the login process for SAP sites in 2026

Hi

I have a private user to login to the community. I have had this user for more than 20 years and it has been inherited from SCN and before that from SDN.

I used to login with a user-id P0000xx (not to be confused with a moderne SAP P-user) and I feel kind of attached to this user-id. It is a part of my identity.

Now in 2026 I can't login with my old user-id any more, but I found that I can login with my email address and still have access to all my old content - All the way back to the launch of SDN in 2003.
I can't see my old user-id any where in my account setting or user settings. What happened?

It is not just nostalgia because I also have assigned s-users from various customers and i have access to a customer BTP accounts - with the same email address that is now my new SDN user.

Before there was a clear separation with between my accounts. To login I used my p0000xx for the community, I used my email for BTP and I used s-users for me.sap.com.

When I log into the community with this email and then opens a new tab with BTP or me.sap.com it will automatic sign in (SSO). I haven't seen problems with BTP because I get in with the right account, but in me.sap.com it logs in with my community account which doesn't have access to anything in me.sap.com.

The work around is that I log in to the community with edge and me.sap.com with google chrome. Without the SSO I can still login to me.sap.com with the s-user id.

In me.sap.com I see a message
"Effective Jan 20: UID login will be permanently deactivated; only S-User login will be available (KBA: How to reset an S-User ID Password). Change occurs during CET work hours."
Does this mean that the problem with SSO with my email address will be solved on Jan. 20?

Have I lost my old SDN user id for good?

... and where is SAP Universal ID in all this?

PS. My first question in SDN in 2003 was why they had left out all ABAP content from the community. Later ABAP came back in full force, but today I often ask the same question. Today the attack on ABAP is more sneaky. They pretend that RAP is ABAP, but in reality it is EML and odata - and it has very little to do with ABAP.

Can't add image descriptions to images in community blog posts anymore

Hey,

I wasn't sure which category to put this in, let me know if there's another place to ask this question.

I'm trying to write a block post here in the SAP community but I can't click in the text field below an image in the image upload section anymore. I checked it in a new blog post, in the one I've been working on for the past days and older already released ones.

When I'm opening older blogpost, the description is still there, but I can't edit it (because I can't click in the field either).

Any suggestions on how to proceed or what the issue could be?

Join validation error converting universe from Oracle to SQL Server

We are in the process of converting our databases and universes from Oracle to SQL Server as required by a vendor. When I try to validate some of the joins in IDT, I get an arithmetic overflow error that appears to be caused by the validation query using a count(*) instead of a count_big(*). Is there any workaround or setting I can use to get around this error?

SAP HANA Cloud Trial Instance Fails Repeatedly During Creation

I am using an SAP BTP Trial account and attempting to create an SAP HANA Cloud (hana-free) instance.

The instance repeatedly fails during creation or becomes unavailable after initial setup. I have retried multiple times, verified quotas, and followed all standard setup steps, but the issue persists.

Environment details:
- Account type: SAP BTP Trial
- Service: SAP HANA Cloud (hana-free)
- Subaccount: trial
- Issue: Instance creation/startup failure

This is blocking an academic capstone project that depends on SAP HANA Cloud.

Has anyone faced this issue recently on the trial landscape, or is there a way to reset the HANA Cloud service for trial users?

EWM: How to determine HU/Packing status before Set Ready for Shipment to avoid printing duplicate

Hi Experts,

We are working on an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud EWM scenario with Goods Issue (GI) label printing and are facing a challenge related to duplicate label generation.

Current Process

GI labels are printed during the packing process in EWM, triggered by the Warehouse Task Confirmed event.
During packing:
- An internal Warehouse Task (WT) is created
- GI label is printed based on the WT number
- A Handling Unit (HU) is created as part of the packing process
  New Requirement
  - Print the GI label at the Set Ready for Shipment stage using the Outbound Delivery Change event.
  - This should happen only for deliveries that are not packed into an HU.
    Issue
    - When the delivery is set to Ready for Shipment, GI labels are also getting printed for deliveries that are already packed in HU, resulting in duplicate label printing.
      Analysis Done
      - We explored checking the packing status (HU existence) using:
      - I_OutboundDelivery
      - I_OutboundDeliveryItem
      - However, since packing and label printing are executed within EWM, these CDS views are not updated in real time during the packing process.
      - We also could not find any EWM-specific CDS views that reliably expose real-time packing or HU status.
        Question
        Is there a recommended or alternative approach in EWM to reliably determine whether:
        Packing has already been completed, or
        An HU already exists for the delivery
        before triggering GI label printing at the Set Ready for Shipment stage, so that duplicate printing can be avoided?
        Any guidance on best practices, EWM events, APIs, CDS views, or extensibility options would be highly appreciated.

C_IEE2E Practical Exam Under Review → Attempt Closed & Recredited – Has Anyone Experienced This?

Hello SAP Community,

I would like to check if anyone else has experienced a similar situation with the new system-based practical certification exams, particularly C_IEE2E – SAP Certified – Implementation Consultant – End-to-End Business Processes for SAP Business Suite.

My situation:

I completed the C_IEE2E practical exam on 25 January 2026.
The exam status remained “Under Review” for several days (despite results usually being available shortly after completion).
I contacted SAP Certification Support.
I later received a response stating that:
- They cannot provide detailed information on why the attempt was unsuccessful.
- The certification is currently in a pilot phase, and detailed score reports are not yet available.
- My attempt has been closed and recredited.

While I appreciate the recredit, I am now a bit unsure about the next best step.

My questions to the community and SAP team:

Has anyone else faced a similar situation with C_IEE2E or other system-based practical exams?
If your attempt was recredited, did you:
- Retake the same exam immediately?
- Wait for process improvements or clearer guidance?
Are there known stability or evaluation issues with the pilot practical exams that candidates should be aware of?
Would you recommend proceeding with a retake now, or waiting until the enhanced score reporting process is fully available?

Additionally, I am planning to take the following certifications soon:

SAP Certified – Implementation Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Financial Accounting
SAP Certified – Implementation Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, Management Accounting

Given this experience, I would really value advice on whether it’s better to:

Continue with these certifications now, or
Pause until the practical exam processes are more mature.

I’m sharing this to learn from others’ experiences and to get guidance from SAP experts or community members who may have gone through something similar.

Hello Community Admin Team,

Since some time, it is noted that I am not getting Emails for the Comments posted on my Blog Post. This is so when is no notification settings change (Email for Comments on my subscribed items still remains set) and when I am already subscribed to my post.

This was observed by my other colleague also. Tried changing the settings but no luck. Example post - Managing Invoices with SAP Ariba Central Invoice Management

Kindly check on this. Could be problem with others too. Missing to reply on important comments.

Depreciation Posted Monthly Despite Planned Useful Life of 1 Period

Dear SAP Community,

We are facing an issue with asset depreciation and would appreciate some guidance.

We have an asset that was created in March, with the capitalization date 31.03.2025. In transaction AS03, under Depreciation Area 01 (HB1), the following settings are maintained:

Depreciation Key: "Linear over remaining useful life, pro rata, down to zero"
Planned useful life in periods: 1
Depreciation calculation start date: 01.01.2025

Despite these settings, depreciation is being posted every month, which is not what we expect given the planned useful life of 1 period.

We initially tried changing the depreciation key to "100% depreciation" to see if this would resolve the issue — could this be a valid approach, or might it cause other inconsistencies?

Additionally, we are using transaction AFAR (Recalculate Depreciation):

How should AFAR be used correctly in this scenario?
Is it required after changing the depreciation key or useful life settings to ensure correct depreciation posting?

Any insights into the root cause or best practice for handling this would be greatly appreciated.

When flagging the pricing condition for deletion a second condition also marked for deltion.

Hello everyone, We have an issue when flagging a condition record for deletion. When deleting a condition which has the infinite date as validity end, another condition record with the same price is also marked for deletion.

In the above screenshot, we are deleting the condition valid from 01.05.2028 to 31.12.9999 and system also flags the condition 01.01.2026 to 01.31.2026 for deletion. Both these condition has the same amount as price. The condition type is a copy of PR00 condition type.

The only connection i can think off is, originally the condition ending on 31.12.9999 had the starting date as 01.01.2026 and it was moved to 01.05.2026 as the other conditions were added.

How to switch off E-Mail notifcation for flexible workflow?

Hi, I have got the problem that I cannot simply switch off the email notification for flexible workflow for sales objects. I have copied the email template for the sales order to xx_02000006_CRT_9 and the email is sent out correctly, whenever an approval is required. But I have got the problem, that I want to test the email notification in our test system. And we are using real users with real email adresses within our company. So we want to test, but we don't want to bother the colleagues with many unnecessary emails from our test system all the time.
That's why I would like to have the possibility to easily switch off the email notification. Either depending on the function group or on the workflow object. Currently I have only the possibility to delete the user defined email template xx_02000006_CRT_9. And transport the changes to our test system. I could not find any customiziable flag, to stop sending emails. Could someone please give me a hint?
The other question is: the emails are sent out immediately as high priority. That's why I cannot stop the from sending in transaction SOST. Is there any way to change it to low priority, so that they are not sent immediately?

Scenario- We are creating the WBS structure with budget allocation to child WBS element and Parent WBS does not hold any budget. We marked the parent WBS as Grouping WBS with value-1, and assigned all child WBS to it. Manually PR/ PO creation is being done with Child WBS. On GRN, inventory is available in child WBS.

To produce finished goods, production order for project (CO10) is created with assignment of parent WBS. To allow consumption of inventory from child WBS, components are assigned with respective inventory WBS.

Goods issue, order confirmation and finished goods receipt is done. But the value gets assigned to parent WBS and the value/ cost equivalent to inventory that is consumed again becomes available to child WBS.

I want to execute the PMMO function for this, so that pegging will establish the relationship and distribution will do the CO posting to respective child WBS (equivalent to consumption cost).

This is not possible with PS alone.

But is it possible to achieve with PMMO & PS? If yes, how to proceed? what are excess WBS, breakpoint WBS in pegging.
