Session attribute set to false in SAP PCO

Hi Experts,

We have a problem with PCo creating multiple sessions in MII. Every time that PCo sends a notification, a session is created. we have very huge number of session created at SAP MII side whenever there is any notification set from PCO side.

My question is.. is this behavior normal in PCo? (creating a session and not closing it every time a notification is sent to MII) or there is any configuration to set the session attribute while calling the MII webservice (WSDL) in PCO.

we are using SAP PCO 15.5.1.5 version.

SAP MII SSCE How add fixed filter to grid table

Hi,

Can someone tell me how can I set fixed filter for grid tabel in SAP SSCE?

For example I have a table with two columns. I would like to choose only some of the data from set depends of first column. Example:

Table with two columns. First is column with numbers, second is with characters

1 A

2 B

3 C

4 D

I want choose only these rows with 2 nad 3 value in column with numbers. Output should look like:

2 B

3 C

This should be fixed and people who will use that dashboard can't change it. I use MDO as a data provider for this grid table.

Not able to open MII Transaction link in my windows PC, net::ERR_FAILED 200 (OK)

I am trying to read an MII Transaction through web service from my PC and I am getting the cors error. I am using ajax call for this. This I am trying to monitor the Dev server availability. I am passing the login username and password through the IllumLoginName and IllumLoginPassword and the link runs fine, I get this JSON output when I run this link directly in a browser.

Also, I can open the link using window.open() and it opens fine.

But when using the link in an ajax call, even with crossDomain:true,,, it returns this error.

SAP MII schedular is in running not in pending

HI experts,

Below are the actions done still the schedular not in pending

1. stop and start schedular(worked for me earlier)

2. terminated running status message in transaction manager

3. disabled and enabled each job (worked for me earlier)

Please let me know how to turn it back to pending state,

1959006 - scheduler job is stuck in Running status but it does not appear the transaction is executing - SAP for Me

So many are there which I'm unaware.

Dear SAP Community,

I have few Questions related to SAP Digital Manufacturing and SAP MII integration

Scenario

If any customer has already SAP MII Now they want to move in Digital Manufacturing.

If DM is Connected to MII using Web servers and able to import (in Service registry) BLS Web files in DM.

Customer wants to use the existing BLS/UI of MII in DM.

Questions-

1. Can we use SAP MII Existing (BLS and UI) KPI and Reports in DM?

2. We have register some BLS in Service registry in DM can we use that in Embedded SAC?

3. Data is stored in MII DB and Customer wants to use their old data in DM, how we can access those DB tables?

SAP MII Custom table data (MDO) archiving

Hi Experts,

This is with respect to the archiving of custom data tables(MDO's) created in SAP MII.

Scenario - we have custom data table (MDO's) created to store the transactional data in SAP MII. now in production as the data is growing/increasing , users are facing the performance issues while using the SAP MII. also they are not able to perform there day to day activity with SAP MII.

Please note that underlaying database of SAP MII is HANA DB where all the custom tables are getting created.

Requirement - we wanted to check if there is any way in SAP MII or any SAP provided tool to archive the custom data table (MDO's) created to store the transactional data in SAP MII.

any help/ supporting guide/ relevance answer will be appreciated.

MII - ERP IDOC: user type Communication Data

Hi everyone.

We have the application resource XMIIIDOC01 setting with username ME_USER and password on the MII application server.

ME_USER is an ERP user of type "Comunication Data"

Because communication data user type is affected by the password expiretime, it could be a problem.

Which is the best practice to workaround this problem?

Sending addional IDOCs to SAP MII

Hi,

it is possible to sent other IDOCS like ORDERS04, CREMASxx or ADRMASxx to SAP MII and create an own workflow for that?

The idea is to sent the cutomer data to SAP MII and then we create a workflow to store this data in SAP ME (Customer Maintenance).

Or we will copy the data from ORDERS04 into a legacy MES.

Hello All,

We are using MII 15.1 version i5Charts. Currently it is showing values in BAR charts - y axis as full digit format like 123456.78. But we want to show this value as in thousands - format like 123,456.78. If we are passing this value directly from query, chart is not plotting.

How to achieve this in i5Chart?

Calling FM through SAP MII BLS transaction and getting desired output when executed BLS transaction in MII workbench.

If i called BLS transaction through URL getting "Name or Password incorrect" error.

Checked credentials and connections setting looks good which is used in SAP JCO call.

SAP Digital Manufacturingis a promising, rapidly evolving tool for manufacturing companies. It is a solid successor for SAP ME / SAP MII. While SAP DM has many great functions and capabilities that make it a full-fledged MES, I want to now discuss the obstacles users are currently facing with master data migration & synchronization

Not all master data objects and configurations can be transferred from your ERP system. Instead, this data needs to be currently manually entered directly into SAP DM by the responsible planner or SAP DM keyuser. There are two use cases to consider:

Master data migration is part of every project. When you switch from the test to the productive environment, you need to transfer your data.
Your production is executed at more than one site and you don't want to create the same master data twice in different SAP DM plants. Think about easy and quick master data transport between plants.

Why is this an issue?

If you don’t have many entries, this doesn’t seem to be a big problem. In fact, developing a solution might even be more expensive than the time your employees or colleagues must spend on the manual process. But try to think long-term or even mid-term: How often do you need to upload, transfer, and synchronize data, and how much time does this cost each time you do it? In addition, the more master data you must enter manually, the higher the probability of errors. Again, the more data you have, the more likely it is that something will go wrong. The last point I would like to address in this context is employee satisfaction. Imagine investing long hours into a repetitive task that can easily be automated.

It is true that you must consider the frequency of such tasks: Does it only occur once in a while or is it something you have to deal with frequently? How much is a quick upload & synchronization worth? How many errors can you accept in the process?

Upon addressing the questions above, you can - at the moment - choose one of the following options:

Continue with the manual process and take the above stated challenges as a given.
Invest resources and create your own solution in-house or with the help of an implementation specialist.
Use an existing master data management tool for SAP DM. Here you can even opt for a SaaS app that is instantly available and can be easily canceled should you no longer need it. This keeps your investment (both in terms of time and money) transparent.

webservice there. Do we have any option to achieve this? It would great if some one can answer this.

I am aware of how to consume MII Transaction/ME PAPI as webservice in SOAP Based Client . But I need to know about REST based client.

SAP MII How insert data to MDO throught illuminator

Hi Everyone,

I am trying pass arguments to my MDO throught illuminator. I create link like this:
http://<server>:<port>/XMII/Illuminator?server=MDOConnector&Mode=Insert&MDO=Project%2FMIIOBJ%2FMDOTest&Col1=Value1&Col2=Value2.

When I execute this link I recieve message in my browser that "Command Query Successful". After this when I check MDO in workbench I can see that It looks like this:

Why I can't see my values? Do I need to change anything in permissions?

Is there any different option to dynamically push data to MDO?

MII BLS Transactions for Merging PDF's

Hi All,

I've a requirement in BLS Transaction of MII where I am running a Repeater and getting multiple PDF's and saving it in the server. Now, I want to merge the PDFs into one PDF as it is related to one single delivery.

As per the solution provided for the question asked in the attached link, it is only possible to convert into an iframe and viewing like a document in a webpage.

But as per my requirement that pdf should be downloaded and signed by end user. I think the signature part is not possible using this iframe concept PDFs.

Can someone please suggest how to merge multiple pdfs in the transaction level whether with saving/without saving.

Note: PDF I've designed using the ADLC and converting it into the base64 encoding using ADS Printing block.

SAP MII does not automatically create the Authorization header with the informed credential

Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever experienced this?
I want to make an HTTP Post using Basic Authentication.
But it seems that SAP MII does not automatically create the Authorization header with the informed credential.

When I send the header with the credential, everything works. But I can't do it this way, because I can't have access to the password that is entered in the SAP MII Credential Store.

Does anyone have any clues on how to resolve this?

unable to delete component from production order after running COCM

Hi Experts,

I have assigned OCM profile in material master.Component deleted from BOM with change number.

Then executed COCM with that change number.It executed successfully.

But that component in production order updated with deletion indicator.That component is not removed from that order. Could you guide how to fix that.

Please note that production order is in released status.GR is not yet done.
