Videos/articles and white papers are made available via forms on our homepage.

To promote this gated content, we send emails to targeted contacts. The forms are pre-filled for more convenience and to provide a better customer journey. For this we use the “Outbound ID” function which is enabled on the url itself.

Our current problem is that some customers/contacts forward the URL or email and other people (with other personal details) fill out the form. Due to the outbound ID, these two contacts will now be merged. Usually the orignal contacts gets a new name and email for their best record.

I would now like to know how and whether there are other solutions, for example that the SMC on forms can be checked with the email, regarding match and merge logic.

Does anyone here have ideas or feedback? How have you solved this problem?

BR
Sascha
2025-03-05T09:47:52.211000+01:00https://community.sap.com/t5/crm-and-cx-q-a/how-can-we-integrate-sap-c4c-sales-order-with-sap-marketing-cloud/qaq-p/14034612How can we integrate SAP C4C Sales Order with SAP Marketing cloud?2025-03-05T15:45:00.286000+01:00ShoaibPatelhttps://community.sap.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1635408
We have a requirement to bring Sales Order data from C4C into SMC. Within Content Studio, I need to personalize a specific URL. The use case is to appended & personalize the URL with the BuPa ID for the respective email recipient.

Example: my list contains two recipients; myself and a colleague. My BuPa ID is 1234 while my colleague's BuPa ID is 6789. The email I receive should have my BuPa ID at the end of the URL while the email my colleague receives should have their BuPa ID at the end of the URL (i.e.., my email would have this URL: ....example.com?id=1234 while my colleague would have this URL: ....example.com?id=6789).

In Content Studio, I built the email and followed this path to select the ID personalization: under Link Properties -> Personalized URL, selected "ID" (under the consumer level). I sent a test using "send using contact." The test send included all IDs (i.e., BuPa ID, email address, hashed, etc.) in the URL.

How do I place a rule in the Link Personalization to only pull through the BuPa ID origin?

Furthermore, if a recipient has 2 or more BuPa IDs, how do I limit the number of BuPa IDs passed through the URL?

In your response, will you please include screen shots as a way to confirm we're viewing the same platform settings/location/version?

If it helps, here is some information on which system I'm using:
Product Name: SAP Marketing Cloud 2502
Application ID: LAUNCHPAD
Application Version: 28.0.150

Thanks,
Daniella
2025-05-16T19:33:57.660000+02:00https://community.sap.com/t5/crm-and-cx-q-a/error-note-in-campaign-execution-for-generating-export-file/qaq-p/14111488Error note in campaign execution for generating export file2025-05-26T10:44:44.210000+02:00valeskaibscherhttps://community.sap.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/679223
Hi everyone,

we ran a campaign in which an export file should have been generated. That Static Target Group is the same that receives the campaign at the end. And we include the coupon cod on the email content we send in that campaign. We follow this process (Solved: Sending coupon via email in SAP Marketing Cloud - SAP Community)

After sending the email campaign with the offer code, I am requested to send the contact ID and the coupon cod that contact received through our email campaign, before the contact redeems it. Immediately after the campaign was sent or the coupon was assigned.

I tried visualizing that data through the Browse Interaction Data but it was not possible to see them from the standard view (I tried to add "coupon cod e" and wasn't there). I did see the coupon cod e assigned to a particular contact though, there at Browse Contact Interaction Data, I went inside each outbound email interaction and see the Offer and Coupon Section and there it was the coupon cod e assigned to the contact. Still, to do that for a lot of contacts is not efficient.

From the Analytics and Report Gallery Offer reports the coupons are not visible, I could just see offers. (We don't have SAC either)

I understand that SAP Marketing Cloud assigns the coupon codes randomly to the contacts present in the target group. And I want to mass extract that assignation of contact ID (or email ID, or interaction ID) and coupon cod assigned. We want to create a Task with a specific category "Sample Request" in SAP Sales Cloud for that. However, Tasks can only be created on existing business partner. And the form can be filled in by completely new contacts as well. So, first a Lead needs to be sent to SAP Sales Cloud, which in its turn will already create an Account and a Contact with status "in preparation" and send the BUPA ID's back to SAP Mkt Cloud. From that moment on, it is technically possible for SMC to send a "Task" to Sales Cloud because the BUPA ids exist.

So, ideally, I have a trigger-based campaign that triggers on the Form Submit (on the form there are some custom fields that are sent to CPI as Predecessor Interaction information), as a first action a "Create Lead", and as a second action a couple of minutes later, a "Create Task". But I am unable to make a setup like that. It's not possible to add the "Create Task" action after the create lead, and it's also not possible to add a delay between the trigger and the "create task" action.

I already tried adding a kind of dummy email in between, with then a follow-up trigger and connect both the Yes and No - wait 1 hour" branch to the "Create Task" action. But then this "send email" becomes the Predecessor Interaction and in CPI the custom fields from the Form Submit trigger are no longer coming through...

Any ideas on other ways to set this up are welcome!
2026-02-02T11:18:19.559000+01:00https://community.sap.com/t5/crm-and-cx-q-a/how-to-filter-a-personalization-attribute-within-mail-creation-in-sap/qaq-p/14330021How to filter a personalization attribute within mail creation in SAP Marketing Cloud2026-02-17T11:28:36.059000+01:00jsr202287https://community.sap.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/837486
Hello SAP-community,

We have one question or challenge regarding missing filter options of a personalization attribute within mail creation.

Goal: We want to send mail campaigns to customers whose purchased products have a specific warranty date.

For this we replicate equipment data incl. of warranties from Sales Cloud to Marketing Cloud. A CBO (Custom Business Object) was designed to be able to use equipment details of accounts in Marketing campaigns.

Within the MC segmentation we are able to create the target group by filtering for all customers that purchased products in a specific timeframe. This segmentation works so far and – in my opinion – cannot fix our issue because this segmentation is just about targeting the correct customers.

As second step we create the mail content. As personalization attribute we use a table that shows the equipment of the corresponding customer, with two columns: Description and serial ID (which we both get from the CBO).

But here, we do not only get the products which we want to show because of their warranty date, we get every product the customer has purchased.

What we need is kind of filtering possibility for this table or an option that shows which product is affected by a specific warranty date.

Do you have an idea how to realize this?

Thank you and kind regards
Sören
2026-02-17T11:28:36.059000+01:00
