Hello, does anyone know if there is any SAP published document out there that shows a comparison between SAP BTP IS (CI) and SAP PO? I need one for a client.

Migration Assessment result is SMALL but no template available

I have an ICO in SAP PO that I want to migrate.

1 sender (SOAP XI Protocol), content based routing, 2 receivers, both receivers have a mapping, both receivers have a REST receiver channel with XML to JSON conversion. Synchronous scenario.

Migration assessment indicates that this is going to be a small migration effort.

However when migrating this interface no template is available (only default).

This is how the assessment should work? In the end you have to migrate manually or use default.

Integration possibilities from SAP CI(Integration Suite) to SWIFT???

Hi All,

While i was exploring the integration possibilities from CI to SWIFT had few questions around this as below.

1. If the integration has to be from S4HANA then there is a direct connector available for SWIFT which we can start configuring from SPRO tcode without the need of CI . Is is the best approach comparing to the other available options???

2. If the connector is not available might be S4HANA release issue or for normal ECC system then that case the traditional way of generating the file in AL11 from where CI will pick the drop onto the target system with all sort of security parameters(encryption/signature) maintained. We dont have standard prepackaged content like what we had for SWIFT SWCV in PI/PO??? Also the SFTP 3.0 which was used in PI/PO for SWIFT integration with the module configurations. How it can be accompanied in CI??? Are there any technical glitches???

3. Any other mechanisms for this integrations???

How to create a REST API to accept undefined variables in URL & Headers?

Hello SAP Community,

We need to develop an API in SAP PO that will be consumed by another system, but the requirement is in such a way that we should be able to accept API calls regardless of what’s sent in the {variable} part of the example URL below.

Example URL: https://host:port/RESTAdapter/{variable1}/{variable2}/{variable3}...../{variablen} where variables, parameters and number of variables & parameters are not predefined and can be anything.

Headers, payload structures & operations (GET, POST etc.) as well are all going to be variable. We would never know what the invoked URL, headers, payload structures and HTTP methods will be. Variables can be anything & everything is what we were told. These variables from sender are also expected to be captured by PO & utilized when making the connection with receiver. Please advise if this can be implemented.

In NWDS when exporting mapping to spreadsheet the constant values are not visible

Hi All,

i am using NWDS mapping Export to spreadsheet and works fine however the constants show up as const() so the actual value is not visible. What am i doing wrong?
In SapPoConst.jpg you can see part of the export and in SapPoVisual.jpg the actual definition from NWDS mapping visual editor.

SAP PI - Determine the receiver based on Source FileName

Hi all,

Ive an issue regarding receiver determination based on a Source FileName.

Ive a file to file scenario without any ESR objects.

The FileNames look like this:

CRM_12345_TimeStamp
CRM_<all Other Values>_TimeStamp

Based on the source FileName I need to send Files containing the value 12345 to Receiver 1 and all Files containing other values except 12345 to Receiver 2

I try this in the Iflow:

(ContextObject.FileName CP "*12345*") --> Reiceiver 1 --> This is working

(ContextObject.FileName != "*12345*") --> Reiceiver 2 --> This is NOT working

Ive red that (Not) Equal to with a Wilcard (*) is not working.

So what is the solution here? How can I achieve this and solve this issue?

REST API Call for downloading file

Hi Experts,

I am working on SAP PO 7.5 to download the file from AWS S3 bucket. so i have followed the blogs

(https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blogs-by-members/how-to-download-a-file-from-amazon-s3-buckets/ba-p/13419722)

on the same and have used "GET" call instead of PUT and interface is OK and getting response 200 in the monitoring. the file is coming in the payload and i have to download this file in some NFS folder.

Could you please let me know how can i get this file in the NFS folder directly. please note i am not using request/response(Sync) call here.

Hi,

Q1. Can you please suggest the user roles to restrict EDIT access for 'Background Job Processing Monitor' in PI/PO message monitoring.

Configuration and monitoring home-->Monitoring-->Adapter engine tab-->Background Job Processing Monitor: Process Jobs

the current roles assigned to user are: SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE , SAP_XI_MONITOR_J2EE,SAP_XI_SUPPORT_J2EE,SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER.

Q2: When assigned the NWA_Readonly role, I am still able to see the 'Identity Management' section (display) and the list of users created. I would like to restrict access to the 'Identity Management' option; please suggest ways to hide it so that the user cannot view the list of all users created. I tried using the 'SAP_JAVA_NWADMIN_CENTRAL/LOCAL_READONLY' roles, but they restrict access to many other tools as well. So, I want to use the NWA_READONLY role, but it should not show the 'Identity Management' section.

Hi Experts,

Hope you are doing well.

i have requirement as from SAP outbound proxy is triggering and that interface name is same where same interface should trigger to SAP PI and SAP CPI based on the content condition from SAP.

which means in the content of the proxy sysname is coming where if sysname is "x" it should route to PI system, if sysname is "Y" it should route to SAP CPI. since same interface we are using i am unable to add it in sxmb_adm . can you please provide the options if any ?

Hi Experts,

I have a question about calling BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMIT or BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK from SAP Process Orchestration 7.5

In my scenario, I am calling BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 from PO.
S4 will then respond with a message BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2.Response.
Based on this response, I should either call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMIT or BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK from PO to S4.

How can this be achieved without using BPM?

SAP PI - Huge messages are in Scheduled Status - Update the status

Hi Friends,

Good day.

In SAP PI (7.5) , Message Monitoring overview screen, huge messages count is shown under Scheduled column. When we click the count, there is no messages come. i.e. no messages are available.

Restarting the PI system also did not help to update the status of the messages (to move them to Cancelled).

I get stuck how to clear these messages (to move them to cancelled status)

Hi ,

I am using PO7.5. I am new to node functions and need some help.

Say,I have 3 input fields(ip1, ip2, ip3) and one output field(op1).

I want to achieve below functionality with node functions or UDF. Can anyone guide me on this?

If IP1 or IP2 is initial then OP1 = IP3.

If IP1 is not initial and IP2 is not initial then OP1 = concate(IP1, IP2).

Do i need to create Custome function or with simple node functions is it possible?

Please teach me how to Mapping Function [counter].

When I actually tried setting the mapping definition as above, the output result for ① was 202.
This can be understood by saying,
　``The value of [Increment] was added to the value of [Initial Value] for the number of calls of [counter].''

However, regarding ②, in parts (1) and (2) of the image,
I thought that both would be 420 because "counter" was called twice,
but the result was 210 for both.

Not only the above example ,even other simple mapping examples is okey.
Please teach me about to know how the "counter" function works.
