does sap rest adapter(sender channel) in rest polling only read 1 message per poll from a queue

I have a Rest Sender channel in Rest Polling mode reading from a ASB (Azure Service Bus) queue via Http endpoint. I am using SAP PO 7.5

i have observed that it reads only one message per poll from queue even though there are multiple messages to read. e.g. if there are 10 messages in queue and channel is polling every 10 seconds, it reads one message in first poll, then 2nd message after 10 seconds and so on. To read all 10 messages it takes 10 polls and 60 seconds in total.

Does the REST adapter work this way? or Is there a way to read all the available messages in queue at once using Rest adapter in Rest Polling mode?

SAP PO to SAP CPI Migration Scenarios - EDISeperator and X400 Adapters

We have a requirement where we need to migrate B2B scenarios involving EDISeperator and X400 adapters in SAP CPI. Need to provide the estimates for the same, but I dont see a clarity on how we can move the changes as standard adapters are not present in CPI.

Please suggest or if there is any standard guide which I can refer will be helpful.

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement to connect from SAP PO 7.5 (using the REST adapter) to a CPI HTTPS endpoint where CSRF protection is enabled.
Our goal is to achieve this integration with minimal changes to the existing SAP PO iFlow.

What is the recommended approach to handle the CSRF token in this scenario?
Is it necessary to implement an Async-Sync Bridge on the PO side, or are there more efficient alternatives to manage the token exchange?

Any guidance, best practices, or references would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to deploy Function Library while Migrating from SAP PO to SAP CPI

While working on a B2B migration from SAP PO to SAP CPI, I am adding the Mapping and relevant Function library connecting to ESR and it is imported successfully. Mapping is deployed but the function library deployment is failing with the below error -

Generation and build failed for B2B_Migration_Function_Library as validation of resource is failed Validation failed for the method concatTwoQueuesToOne defined in the Java class UDFNodePool.java. When the executionType is ALL_VALUES_OF_CONTEXT, there must be at least 3 arguments of which the last argument must always be of type Container and the second last must always be a ResultList. Validation failed for the method createContextsForFixedBlockSize defined in the Java class UDFNodePool.java. When the executionType is ALL_VALUES_OF_CONTEXT, except the last and second last arguments, all others must be of type String [], float [], or int []. Validation failed for the method buildBlocksAndGetValueByIndex defined in the Java class UDFNodePool.java. Is it possible to convert a positional file containing multiple header rows using the standard FCC?

Below is an example of the file structure.

Hi SAP Community,

I’m currently facing an issue while trying to migrate integrations from SAP Process Orchestration (PO) to SAP Integration Suite using the Migrate Process Orchestration Artifacts tool.

I have successfully configured the connection to the Process Orchestration System, and the connection test is successful. In Step 2 of the migration wizard, I can see and select the integration scenarios available in PO without any issues.

However, in the Pattern step, where I should be able to select an integration pattern, no options are displayed, as shown in the image below:

Has anyone in the community faced a similar issue? Are there any additional prerequisites or configurations required to have the integration patterns show up correctly in this step?

Hello everyone, I am facing an error with SAP Adapter.

When I test the SOAP interface on SAP system it runs well. But when I use the exposed SOAP API on SOAPUI or Postman, it cannot send the request, it returns the error ERROR:java.net.SocketException: Connection reset.

Hello Experts,
We are facing an issue in SAP PI/PO where the message is processed successfully and delivered to the target system, but the sender receives an HTTP 500 error. In the logs we see the following:

MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions720.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of NamespaceMapperBean.

Even though message delivery is successful, this exception still appears and causes the user to see a 500 Internal Server Error.

Could you please advise what could cause this..

CPI HTTP Receiver always returns 400 “Syntax Error” although same JSON works in Postman

Hi Everyone,

We are trying to call a BZSt REST endpoint from SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) using the HTTP Receiver adapter. The goal is to send a small JSON request from our SAP backend to the German EVATR service and receive a validation response.

The same request (same URL, same JSON body, same token/parameters) works perfectly in Postman. In CPI, however, we consistently receive an HTTP 400 error from the target system.

The error message in the CPI log is:

The response body from the server is an HTML error page:

In the meantime, we have tested quite a lot of variations. We tried many different header combinations, including explicitly setting headers like Content-Type, Accept, Host, and Content-Length, and we experimented with the “Allowed / Request Headers” setting of the HTTP Receiver adapter (including using *). None of these attempts changed the behavior – CPI still only seems to forward a very small set of headers, and additional headers set via a Content Modifier often do not appear in the actual outbound call (according to the HTTP_Receiver_Adapter_Request_Headers attachment).

We also experimented with the payload itself: different JSON formats, slightly modified test payloads, sending the exact same body as Postman, and even building a minimal iFlow where the JSON body is hard-coded in a Content Modifier and sent directly to the HTTP receiver. The result is always the same 400 response from the BZSt service, so it does not appear to be a simple syntax issue in the JSON itself.

What could be the reason for this behavior, and does anyone know how to resolve it or what else we should check?

There is a requirement to send the request based from URL query params and map it to the target field via UDF, this is already working however I don't see any way to send empty payload as it is still looking for the source payload in Dummy Message Type even if it's not mapped to the target. If I add it it's working if not, I'm getting the following error response:

but If I added the source payload of the dummy message type it is working, although it's only dummy - it seems like it still requires it.

Can you anyone share what approach I can do to achieve the empty request payload?

SAP PO system Changes Involved - For S4 Hana RISE Conversion from SAP ECC

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement where SAP ECC conversion is done to S4 HANA RISE. There are around 100 interfaces involved(Adapters - RFC/IDoc/Proxy) which will be impacted and we need to consider the changes in SAP PO.

Approach 1 --> Create new Technical System and New Business system(For S4 HANA RISE) in SLD and create all new interfaces from scratch without touching the current set-up. This may take more time and involve a lot of end to end testing.

Approach 2 --> Create new Technical System (For S4 HANA RISE) and Point to the existing Business System(which was pointing previously to SAP ECC). In this case development work will be saved and less time will be involved.

Is there a possibility on the Approach 2, anyone worked before and suggest if this will work or not? Do we need to consider some point, which I am missing.

ODATA_CALLING_ERROR: How to configure Resource Path in OData Sender Adapter

We are working on an OData to JDBC integration where we are trying to fetch IDoc status information from SAP and update it on the client side.

This is a CDS view with parameters exposed as ODATA which we are trying to consume from ODATA Sender channel.
We have created an HTTP Destination as shown below:

However, we are encountering the following error in the PO channel:

ODATA_CALLING_ERROR: OData call failed
404 : NOT_FOUND [ZCAD_I_IDOC_STATUS(p_days=7)/Set]

The same destination works correctly when tested directly in the browser as well as via Postman.

Could someone please advise what the correct Resource Path should be in the OData channel configuration to make this work successfully?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

SAP PO - BPM error

Price Tolerance is completed but has not reflected in Finance, even though it was already approved. When we checked in the Fiori system, we observed that the Price Tolerance approval for PO is still pending. It was queried multiple times and all previous queries were approved, but the last approval was not completed successfully.

Upon investigation, we found that the BPM task was suspended and in error. When we checked the reason for the error, we found the following comments:

We identified that the failure occurred due to the maximum length validation error. To resolve this, we edited the PO 'header note' in ME22N in SAP and tried to resume the BPM task, but it failed again for the same reason. We then asked the user to resubmit the Price Tolerance for approval, but in the Fiori page, the option to submit for approval was disabled. To address this, we canceled the BPM task for the PO.

Requirement - User need to get this Price Tolerance approved and it should be reflected in Finance.
