How to Hide Fiori app in SAP S/4HANA Public cloud

Hi,

We are currently working on SAP S/4HANA public cloud edition and have a requirement to assign the "Create Purchase Order - ME21N" tile to one of the business user. To achieve this, we've assigned the corresponding catalog, specifically the "SAP_MM_BC_PO_PROCESS_MC." However, within this business catalog, there are numerous applications available, such as "Create Document." Consequently, the system grants the user access to all the apps within that catalog. Our intention is to restrict the user from using any app other than "Create Purchase Order." Despite enabling spaces and pages, the user is still able to access the "Create Document" app by searching for its name in the search box. We'd greatly appreciate your swift response and assistance with this matter.

Customizing Layout (VA02) Create Sales Order Window

Hi All,

I'm new to SAP.

Looking for ways to speed up data entry by customizing the layout in my sales inquiry windows such as the window in transactions like "Create Quotation" and "Create Sales Order".

I've discovered how to customize the line items box to move unessential fields out of view - but one thing that is bugging me is the limited size of the box where you enter line items.

Currently I can only see 3 lines on screen at any given point before having to scroll - is there anyway to expand this box to show more lines on screen at once?

Tab across fields with tooltip no longer possible?

Afternoon, All!

Since the implementation of SAP ByDesign upgrade 2311, we have noticed that if you use "tab across" to move from field to field, it does not work any more if the next field is marked with a question mark/tooltip help button. You are stuck and need to use the mouse function to move fields again. I tried in our Production and UAT systems, in Chrome and Edge - all the same.

This has really thrown our supplier invoice processing team as they knew exactly how many tab across they needed to get to the correct fields for faster processing. This was also not listed in the list of changes for the upgrade. Anyone got any idea?

Hi All,

I'm new user to SAP and my current company using old version (SAP Business one 9.2) of SAP as I got to know. Currently once PO raised and approved changes cannot be made in any case. (before sending to supplier, Ex-Qty increment/Price changes due to later added discounts). Is there any possibility to amend the PO atleast by PO approved user?

In S4 Hana public cloud, is it OK to delete locked business users in the 'Maintain Business Users' app?

There is a delete button, but just wanted to check if anybody has hit any problems after deletion. For example, any transactional data entered by the deleted user, could that cause an issue?

I need to develop a ui5 free style app which needs to consume odata v4 (sap capm) service as well as odata v2(on premise) service. As this is my first time dealing with this type of scenario, Just wanted to know that Is there any problems that I may encounter while developing? And is it okay to use 2 different versions of odata in same application.

Recommended approach for Fiori Adapt UI in S/4H On-Premise system (Customizing client) with no data

Dear Experts,

For a client's S/4HANA greenfield implementation with Private Cloud (RISE with SAP), there are two clients in the Development system i.e. Customizing client (400) and Test Client (410). The client has decided not to allow any (test) data creation in client 400 but only in test client 410 (this approach seems standard in many projects).

To implement Fiori Adapt-UI enhancements and test Key-User Extensibility, we need those UI screens where we want to implement changes. For example, to change something on a Product (detail) screen, we need to navigate from the Products list in the Manage Product Master Data Fiori app. But without any data, this navigation is not possible.

The question is, what is the best or recommended to work on such Enhancements? Should we allow such Enhancements in the Test client which means also the possibility of creating a Transport Request where such enhancements could be locked for further systems?

Had anyone been in a similar system environment and what kind of approach was used there?

Issues with Horizon theme in Company Structure Overview

With the Horizon theme being applied to the Company Structure Overview in the 1H 2024 release (WEF-133809), I see a couple of issues, as highlighted in the image below, with the before on the left and after on the right:

The colors configured in "Edit Layout" for each object do not appear anywhere on the object card. These colors should either be displayed somewhere like before (my preference), or the option to set them should be removed.
The new icon for Positions does not represent Positions as clearly as the old one did.

Infotype 2001 keep opening screen number 2000 but only for certain users.

I had already configured table T554S for an absence type that would deduct a quota as below

I can open it normally and it would show screen number 2001,

But when another user wanted to create a new IT2001 record the screen number that appear for them is 2000

What could be the cause of the screen differences between our user?

Which one is preferred: Adapt UI or Adaptation Projects?

There are many good blogs/docs about key user UI Adaptation at Runtime to customize Fiori apps and create variants, and many good blogs about developer Adaptation projects in BAS at Design time.

But which method is preferred?

Assuming only developers will be making customizations (not key users) and no additional controller logic extensions are needed, which method should be used?

Runtime Adaptations are easier with less overhead. But I'd like to see what other people think.

Why can't I send invoices in "Release Blocked Invoices"?

I'm trying to send Invoices out of the application "Release Blocked Invoices" (MRBR), but it's not working.

Can someone let me know where the problem can be?
The recipients are stored corectly in the system.
