# Round 11: a trunk study, and two other models paint
Two experiments on the fixed engine (main at e8bb1f8, dry rims fixed).

1. **The study** (Astra's advice after Round 10, notes/round10/blind/critics/astra.md
   items 5 and 6): three painters, claude-opus-5-5 at thinking high, Rust,
   round 2's brief with only the assignment changed: one passage, a dark
   trunk rising out of snow and crossing a pale evening sky; no aged finish
   (no craquelure, no aged varnish). Briefs: notes/briefs/sent/r11_study*.md.
2. **Other models, whole paintings** (Alice: so far only Claude has painted):
   round 10's winter brief verbatim (round 2's), Rust, one painter each:
   - openai-codex/gpt-6-astra, thinking low, fast mode off
   - google/gemini-3.8-flash (provider google, Gemini API), thinking high
     (the highest pi allows for it: "supported: low, medium, high")
   Caveat: Astra and Gemini Flash are also this project's critics; blind
   judging keeps the painter unknown, but a model may favor its own style.
   - anthropic/claude-fable-5-1, thinking xhigh (added by Alice)

**Cross-critique** (Alice): when all are done, the three model-painters
(Astra, Gemini Flash, Fable) each judge all the whole paintings blind,
their own included (unmarked), plus round 2's winter as an anchor.
