# Code of Conduct ## Our Standards Time Traveler is an open-source project, and everyone participating in the project is expected to help maintain a welcoming, respectful, and productive environment. Examples of positive behavior include: - Treating other contributors with respect - Giving constructive technical feedback - Being open to different ideas and approaches - Helping new contributors understand the project - Focusing disagreements on code and technical decisions rather than individuals - Respecting differences in experience, background, and perspective Unacceptable behavior includes: - Harassment, threats, or personal attacks - Discriminatory or derogatory comments - Deliberate intimidation - Trolling or repeatedly disrupting discussions - Publishing someone else's private information without permission - Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual attention - Abusive behavior toward maintainers or contributors ## Technical Disagreements Disagreement is a normal part of open-source development. Contributors are encouraged to challenge ideas, implementations, and architectural decisions when doing so helps improve the project. Keep criticism focused on the work itself. Good: > This implementation may have portability problems on Windows because it relies on shell-specific behavior. Not good: > You clearly have no idea how Node.js works. ## Scope This Code of Conduct applies to project spaces including: - GitHub issues - Pull requests - Discussions - Code reviews - Project-related communication It also applies when someone is publicly representing the Time Traveler project. ## Enforcement Project maintainers are responsible for interpreting and enforcing these standards. Behavior that violates this Code of Conduct may result in: - A warning - Removal of comments or contributions - Temporary restrictions from participating - Permanent exclusion from the project Enforcement decisions should be based on the severity and context of the behavior. ## Reporting Problems If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, contact the project maintainer privately rather than escalating the situation publicly. Reports will be reviewed as fairly and confidentially as reasonably possible. ## Attribution This Code of Conduct is maintained as part of the Time Traveler open-source project and may evolve as the community grows.
