# AI Usage Policy

AI assistance is allowed in this repository, but contributors remain fully
responsible for the result.

## Expectations

- Disclose meaningful AI assistance in pull requests when it materially helped
  write code, docs, or issue text.
- Review and understand everything you submit.
- Trim noise. AI-generated content should be edited into concise, relevant,
  technically accurate work before it reaches issues, discussions, or PRs.
- Do not use AI-generated media unless a maintainer has explicitly requested it.

## Maintainer Review Standard

Issues, discussions, and pull requests are reviewed by humans. Low-signal,
unverified, or obviously unreviewed AI output is likely to be closed or sent
back for revision. The problem is not AI tooling itself; the problem is
submitting work that the author does not understand.

## Practical Rule

If you cannot explain the change, debug a failure in it, or justify the design
without asking the AI again, the change is not ready to submit.
