# Privacy Policy: Grade Calculator for ManageBac

Grade Calculator for ManageBac ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that shows a predicted IB grade on your ManageBac class tasks page. This policy explains what it does with data.

## What the extension reads

When you open a class tasks page on a `managebac.com` address, the extension reads that page in your browser: the class name and level, task categories and the weights ManageBac lists for them, and your task scores. It uses this only to calculate the prediction on your screen. **This information is never sent to the developer or to any other server.**

## What the extension stores

The extension saves these settings in your browser's local extension storage (`chrome.storage.local`):

- the weights, counting method, subject, level and custom boundaries you choose for each class;
- your exam timezone, colour and brightness choices;
- whether the panel is open or closed.

This data stays on your device. It is removed when you uninstall the extension or use the Reset option in settings. It is not synced and not shared.

## Feedback you choose to send

The extension has a Feedback screen. **Nothing is sent unless you press Send.** When you do, the following is sent to the developer through the form service Formspree (formspree.io), which delivers it to the developer's email:

- the message you typed;
- your email address, only if you typed one;
- the extension version;
- the address of the ManageBac page you were on (this includes your school's ManageBac subdomain and the class number in the address);
- if the "Include setup details" box is ticked: your class name, the matched subject, level, exam timezone, the number of tasks with and without a score, category names and weights, and which counting options are on. This is shown on the screen before you send. It does not include task names, scores or grades.

Formspree also receives technical information that any website receives, such as your IP address. The developer uses feedback only to fix problems and improve the extension, and does not sell it or use it for advertising. Please do not put passwords or other sensitive personal information in your message. Formspree's handling of data is described in its own privacy policy.

## What the extension does not do

- No analytics, tracking, advertising or profiling.
- No selling or sharing of data.
- No remote code. All code ships inside the extension.
- It reads and works only on `managebac.com` pages.

## Permissions

- **Access to `*.managebac.com`**: needed to show the overlay on your tasks page and read the scores shown there.
- **Storage**: needed to remember your settings on your device.

## Children and students

The extension is intended for IB students. It collects no personal information by itself. Students under 18 should not put personal details in the Feedback form.

## Not affiliated

This extension is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ManageBac (Faria Education Group) or the International Baccalaureate Organization. Predicted grades are estimates, not official results.

## Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same address with a new effective date.
