The Dynamix AutoFan shell-script history attributes contributions to Aiden,
Dan Stroot, Guzzi, gfjardim, Bergware, syntactic-salt, andreiio, InfinityMod,
and doron. That script lineage developed from earlier Unraid community fan
control work, including the script published by xamindar in 2010.

The repository history preserves the licensing and provenance evidence:

- bergware/dynamix commit d1953b3f20ce5c150227a8cc2d5e7beaa2136436
  added the Dynamix AutoFan sources with GNU GPL version 2 notices in 2015.
- bergware/dynamix commit 900f103246ea8fee1c63a13d916f9567511f0f91
  is the last AutoFan update before FanCtrl Plus was created. Its core PHP
  files retain the same GNU GPL version 2 notices.
- ck9393/fanctrlplus commit 0e8300c9d3eae96731a43fc1fca472dde3dccd44
  introduced the derivative plugin. It retained the Dynamix identity and a
  GNU GPL version 2 notice in source/include/update.autofan.php, while other
  copied core files omitted their existing notices.
- ck9393/fanctrlplus commit 6869501886f533e6ded2353cb524cf4c8e155963
  repackaged the derivative and omitted the remaining notice.
- ck9393/fanctrlplus commit 2a29af1d11ff7866b0922d359b0571b75734772c
  then removed the original source directory containing that notice.
- ck9393/fanctrlplus commit 26a029d658ccf7db3c33c3fa2f1e47cd1c9114e2
  added byte-identical copies of the repackaged core files at the repository
  root. The present FanCtrl Plus 2 files descend from those files through the
  repository's normal modification and rename history.

Deleting a license notice from a derivative does not replace or cancel the
original license grant. This distribution therefore restores and follows the
license selected by the original licensor: GNU General Public License version
2 only (SPDX: GPL-2.0-only). See LICENSE for the complete terms.
