# Alinta Energy > Alinta Energy is one of Australia's largest integrated energy retailers and generators (roughly 3,000 MW across gas, coal, wind, solar and battery; more than a million retail customers; owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises), and a designated, live Consumer Data Right (CDR) energy data holder. Its API posture is mandate-implemented but developer-closed: four operations are anonymously callable and everything of substance sits behind ACCC accreditation and consumer consent. There is no developer portal, no self-serve API, no proprietary OpenAPI, no SDK and no open grid or market data. ## What you can actually call anonymously - Alinta-hosted CDR discovery: `GET https://public.cdr.alintaenergy.com.au/cds-au/v1/discovery/status` (header `x-v: 1`) — confirmed HTTP 200, 2026-07-27 - Alinta-hosted CDR outages: `GET https://public.cdr.alintaenergy.com.au/cds-au/v1/discovery/outages` (header `x-v: 1`) — confirmed HTTP 200 - AER-hosted plan catalogue: `GET https://cdr.energymadeeasy.gov.au/alinta/cds-au/v1/energy/plans` (header `x-v: 1`) — confirmed HTTP 200, 493 Alinta plans - AER-hosted plan detail: `GET https://cdr.energymadeeasy.gov.au/alinta/cds-au/v1/energy/plans/{planId}` (header `x-v: 3`) The plan catalogue is served by the Australian Energy Regulator's Energy Made Easy CDR platform on Alinta's behalf — Alinta's own host returns 404 for that path.
