  them from `/api/views` or `/data.json`; do not hard-code them.
- `/resource` returns numeric columns as JSON **strings** (`"all":"0.9035"`). The OData v4
  representation returns the same columns as numbers. Check `X-SODA2-Types` for the declared
  type of each field.
- Responses are bare JSON arrays. There is no envelope, no total count and no next cursor —
  page with `$limit`/`$offset` (and an explicit `$order`, or paging can repeat rows) until a
  short page comes back.
- Two different error envelopes. A missing dataset returns
  `{"code":"dataset.missing","error":true,"message":"Not found","data":{...}}`; a bad SoQL
  clause returns `{"message":"Query coordinator error: ...","errorCode":"query.soql.no-such-column","data":{...}}`.
  Note `code` versus `errorCode`. Neither is RFC 9457 problem+json.
- No rate-limit headers are returned at all. The documented exhaustion status is 429 and the
  documented remedy is to register a free app token. There is no published number for any
  limit — you cannot see your budget until you exceed it.
- Use conditional requests. `/resource` returns `ETag` and `Last-Modified`, and most
  AmeriCorps datasets change a few times a year.
- `X-SODA2-Fields` and `X-SODA2-Types` on any `$limit=1` call tell you a dataset's whole
  shape without a second request.
