# Aptera (Aptera Software, Inc.)

> Aptera was a Fort Wayne, Indiana custom software development consultancy founded in 2003, specializing in the Microsoft stack — .NET, SharePoint, Azure, business intelligence, web and mobile application development, and legacy application modernization for enterprise clients. It was acquired by Core BTS on June 30, 2021 and no longer operates as an independent brand. Battery Ventures lists "Aptera, Inc." on its all-companies page as an exited investment. Aptera was a services firm, not an API producer: no public API, developer portal, OpenAPI, SDK, or MCP surface was ever published.
