> AWS Lambda is a serverless, event-driven compute service that runs code for virtually any application or backend without provisioning or managing servers. Lambda runs code on high-availability infrastructure, handling capacity provisioning, automatic scaling, patching, and logging, and charges only for compute time consumed. Authentication is AWS Signature Version 4 (SigV4) with IAM permissions.
