# QA API (formerly Cloud Academy)

> The QA Learning Platform (formerly Cloud Academy, cloudacademy.com now redirects to platform.qa.com) is a hands-on tech skills training platform. Its REST API lets enterprise administrators integrate learning-management data — content catalog, organization teams and members, and asynchronous reporting jobs — with internal business systems such as intranet dashboards. Authentication is OAuth2 client-credentials; the public API is limited to 100 requests per minute.

## Auth

- OAuth2 client-credentials flow. Request a token with Basic auth (CLIENT_ID:CLIENT_SECRET) and `grant_type=client_credentials` against https://platform.qa.com/oauth2/token/. Tokens last 10 hours.

## Conventions

- Errors: JSON:API `errors[]` envelope ({ detail, source.pointer, status }), not RFC 9457.
- Pagination: JSON:API `page[number]` / `page[size]`, with a `next` link.
- Rate limiting: HTTP 429 with a `Retry-After` header; 100 req/min public, reports more restrictive.
- Versioning: URI-path v1 / v2 / v3 (several v1 report operations deprecated).
