## Status of Dow's API surface

Dow publishes **no public API**. As of 2026-09-07 there is no developer portal, no API
reference, no OpenAPI/AsyncAPI/GraphQL/SOAP contract, no SDK on any public package
registry, no MCP server and no A2A agent card on any host Dow controls. dow.com is an
Adobe Experience Manager marketing and product-catalog site; ordering, technical
datasheets and SDS retrieval are human web workflows behind a customer account, and
Dow's own order-management page describes no programmatic or EDI integration path.
Do not infer an endpoint. There is nothing here for an agent to call.

## Notes for crawlers and agents

- www.dow.com is behind Akamai. A bare crawler User-Agent is answered with HTTP 403 and a
  "Site Temporarily Unavailable" interstitial on **every** path, including paths that are
  served. A full browser header set gets the real response. Treat a 403 from this host as
  a bot challenge, not as evidence a document is missing.
- Honor robots.txt: `/*/.search.servlet.json` and the `/en-us/search` paths are
  disallowed. That servlet is AEM site-search internals, not a published API.
