# Elsewhere

> Elsewhere (Elsewhere Communities Inc.) is a San Francisco video game studio founded in 2024 by Paul Sawaya, part of cohort 001 of a16z SPEEDRUN. It builds games that use generative AI in a humanistic direction, treating AI as "a normal technology". Elsewhere previously worked on Elsewhere Core, an unfinished co-op action roguelike, and is now building something new. It is a consumer game studio and publishes no public API, developer portal, or SDKs.
