## Rules for calling it

- Send no credentials — none are required or accepted.
- Poll no faster than once per 10 seconds. `Cache-Control: max-age=10, s-maxage=10` means faster polling returns cached bytes.
- Send `If-None-Match` with the returned weak ETag and handle `304`.
- Do NOT JSON-parse a non-2xx body. Unknown paths under `/api/v2` return an **HTML** error document, not `application/problem+json`.
- Expect no `X-RateLimit-*`, `RateLimit-*` or `Retry-After` headers. There is no runtime budget signal.
- Note the coverage gap: the status page tracks the web portal only. `api.empowerly.com`, the production API host behind the portal, has no component, so an API-layer outage may never appear on this page.
