# Halo Connect

> Australian healthcare interoperability platform (Brisbane, founded 2021) that exposes on-premise practice management system (PMS) databases — Best Practice, Zedmed, Dental4Windows — through a modern cloud API, via SQL passthrough or a standards-based FHIR R4 (4.0.1) facade built toward AU Base 4.1.0. Access is gated behind a Halo Cloud subscription (Azure API Management subscription keys; desktop apps also use bearer JWT + device id). No self-serve public API.
