# Hampden & Co

> Hampden & Co (trading as Hampden Bank) is an independent, shareholder-owned UK private bank (plc SC386922) headquartered in Edinburgh, authorised by the PRA and regulated by the FCA and PRA. It is an FCA-authorised ASPSP registered with the Open Banking Implementation Entity (OBIE) and exposes a PSD2 dedicated interface — an Open Data reference API plus the OBIE Read/Write family (Account & Transaction Information, Payment Initiation, and Confirmation of Funds) — secured with FAPI OAuth2/OIDC, mutual-TLS, PSD2 strong customer authentication, and eIDAS/OBIE certificate-based dynamic client registration.

Access note: the Read/Write resource host is mTLS-gated and requires TPP onboarding with eIDAS/OBIE certificates. The OpenAPI documents here are the shared OBIE Read/Write v4.0.1 standard the bank conforms to, not a Hampden-proprietary contract.
