# Help Scout GraphQL Schema ## Overview This conceptual GraphQL schema models the Help Scout customer support and help desk platform. It covers the full surface of the Help Scout Mailbox API v2, Docs API, Beacon API, and webhooks. The schema is derived from the REST API at `https://api.helpscout.net/v2` and the developer documentation at `https://developer.helpscout.com/mailbox-api/`. Help Scout is an email-first help desk platform with shared inboxes, live chat, knowledge bases, and a customer portal. A token is obtained by posting client credentials to `https://api.helpscout.net/v2/oauth2/token`. All subsequent requests use a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Rate limit state is communicated via `X-RateLimit-Limit-Minute`, `X-RateLimit-Remaining-Minute`, and `Retry-After` headers.
