- Trim payloads with `_fields`; resolve relations in one call with `_embed`
- Errors are the WordPress envelope, not RFC 9457: `{"code":"...","message":"...","data":{"status":404}}` — branch on `code`
- No rate limits published, no `X-RateLimit-*` headers; `robots.txt` asks for `Crawl-delay: 10`
