# LedgerX (MIAX Derivatives Exchange)

> LedgerX LLC, doing business as MIAX Derivatives Exchange (MIAXdx), is a CFTC-regulated US derivatives venue registered as a Designated Contract Market, Swap Execution Facility and Derivatives Clearing Organization. It published a JSON REST API for contracts, positions, trades, holidays and balances, a separate order-entry API, and a WebSocket market data feed, all authenticated with JWT API keys.

Provenance: generated 2026-07-19 by the API Evangelist enrichment pipeline from apis.yml and the artifacts in this repo. The provider publishes no llms.txt.

Status: the public developer surface is dormant. docs.miaxdx.com returns a Cloudflare 1014 error, api.ledgerx.com returns 530, trade.ledgerx.com does not respond, and the Statuspage at status.ledgerx.com has been deactivated. Physically settled DCM/SEF products were delisted in July 2024; in November 2025 MIAX agreed to sell 90% of MIAXdx to Robinhood Markets with Susquehanna International Group. Documentation captured in this repo came from the provider's own archived pages.

## Conventions

- Authentication: `Authorization: JWT <api_key>` on REST; `?token=<api_key>` on the WebSocket. Keys are created at https://app.ledgerx.com/profile/api-keys and expire after 30 days by default.
- Pagination: `offset` (default 0) and `limit` (default 100) on all list endpoints, with a `meta` object carrying `total_count`, `next`, `previous`, `limit` and `offset`.
- Rate limits: per IP, per endpoint, returning HTTP 429 plus a time-based block.
- Errors: standard HTTP status codes on REST; a numeric `status_code` registry (200/201/202/203/204/300, 600-616, 801) on WebSocket action reports.
- Idempotency: not supported. Order correlation uses the `mid` returned on submission.
- Ordering integrity: a per-contract monotonic `clock` field; apply an action report only when `clock == current_clock + 1`.
- Versioning: none. No Sunset or Deprecation header support.
