# NASA Open APIs

> NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) provides a suite of free public APIs at api.nasa.gov offering access to space, Earth science, and aeronautics data. All APIs authenticate with a single `api_key` query parameter (use `DEMO_KEY` to explore). Signed-up keys allow 1,000 requests/hour; DEMO_KEY is limited to 30/hour and 50/day per IP.
