  Holland, Michigan in 2024 (a converted Clarios facility, ~600 MW/yr
  nameplate) and announced a planned $1.4 billion factory in Kingsboro
  (Rocky Mount), North Carolina that was expected to create more than
  1,000 jobs. Investors included Khosla Ventures, Chevron Technology
  Ventures, United Airlines Ventures, Aramco Ventures, and Sherwood
  Partners. After ~$373M raised, on August 27, 2025 Natron's board
  determined that ongoing fundraising and order-pipeline efforts were
  unsuccessful; the company filed a WARN notice and permanently ceased
  operations on September 3, 2025, terminating staff at both the Holland,
  MI and Santa Clara, CA sites and cancelling the North Carolina factory.
  Sherwood Partners, the largest shareholder, took over wind-down and
  asset disposition. Natron was a battery hardware OEM with no public
  developer API, SDK, GitHub organization, or programmable cloud surface.
