# OpenLattice

> OpenLattice was a data-integration and analytics platform built around an Entity Data Model (EDM): a graph of entity types, property types, association types, and EntitySets, with a fine-grained ACL/permissions model over organizations, roles, and principals. It was used heavily by public-sector and criminal-justice programs (reentry case management, community work programs, childcare, courts). The company's hosted service and website (openlattice.com, api.openlattice.com) no longer resolve, but its OpenAPI, SDKs, and UI kit remain published on GitHub.

## API
- OpenAPI 3.0.0 spec: openapi/openlattice-openapi.yaml (title "OpenLattice API", 60 paths, 91 operations).

## Core concepts (data model)
- Entity Data Model (EDM): schemas, entityTypes, propertyTypes, associationTypes.
- EntitySets: named, UUID-keyed collections that hold entity data.
- Graph search: neighbor searches traverse associations between EntitySets.
- Access control: organizations, roles, principals, and ACLs (ACEs binding principals to permissions).
