# OSFI — Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada)

> no OpenAPI. Its machine-readable surface is its registers and regulatory returns (FINDAT),
> published to Canada's Open Government Portal as datastore-active CKAN datasets and readable
> anonymously over the CKAN 3 Action API at https://open.canada.ca/data/en/api/3/action.

## How to call it

- Base: `https://open.canada.ca/data/en/api/3/action` — RPC over HTTP, `/<action>` per call.
- Auth: **none**. No key, no OAuth, no registration.
- Send a **browser User-Agent**: the portal WAF answers default curl UAs with an HTML page under
  HTTP 200.
- `datastore_search_sql` is **disabled**; use `datastore_search` with `filters` / `q` / `fields` /
  `sort` / `limit` / `offset`.
- Verified actions: status_show, package_list, package_search, package_show, resource_show,
  datastore_search, datastore_info, organization_show, organization_list, group_list, tag_list,
  resource_search, package_activity_list.
