        <p class="mb-3">Most governance programs can tell you they have rules. Very few can tell their leadership, on one page, how much of the portfolio those rules actually cover, whether the picture is getting better or worse, which exceptions have been sanctioned, and which APIs can prove they were governed. Without that rollup, governance reads to an executive as cost and friction &mdash; and the sponsorship quietly erodes right when the AI and agent rollouts make the gap most expensive.</p>
        <p class="mb-3">This is the reporting artifact that makes governance legible as a strategic business capability instead of a checkbox. I assemble it from the same open governance compute layer I run across providers on <a href="https://apis.io">APIs.io</a> &mdash; nothing hand-waved, every number backed by a real check:</p>

          <li><strong>Coverage</strong> &mdash; how much of each API your rules actually check, so &ldquo;we have governance&rdquo; becomes a measured percentage, not a claim (<a href="https://coverage.apicommons.org">coverage.apicommons.org</a>).</li>
          <li><strong>Findings &amp; trend</strong> &mdash; a portfolio-wide governance report with a delta since last period, so the program can show movement, not just a snapshot.</li>
          <li><strong>Waivers</strong> &mdash; the sanctioned, owned, and expiring exceptions surfaced in the open rather than buried in a spreadsheet (<a href="https://waivers.apicommons.org">waivers.apicommons.org</a>).</li>
          <li><strong>Certification</strong> &mdash; which APIs carry a tamper-evident governance certificate, so &ldquo;it was governed&rdquo; is provable after the fact (<a href="https://certification.apicommons.org">certification.apicommons.org</a>).</li>
        </ul>
        <p class="mb-3">It is recurring by nature. A one-time scorecard is useful; a quarter-over-quarter cadence is what actually keeps a governance program honest and funded &mdash; the same reason reviews beat a one-off audit. Score, ship, re-score, and let the trend line do the arguing.</p>
