# Prenda

> Prenda, Inc. (Mesa, Arizona) is a K-8 education technology company whose software lets an adult
> open and run a microschool — a learning community of roughly five to ten students — from a home,
> studio, or office. Founded by Kelly Smith out of the Prenda Code Club he began at a public library
> in 2013, Prenda opened its first microschool in January 2018 and now supports more than 1,000
> guides teaching nearly 10,000 learners across multiple US states.

Prenda bundles a plug-and-play platform with curriculum, guide training, and academic coaching.
Guides use it to manage enrollment, run adaptive diagnostic assessments in math and reading, track
progress against Prenda's four-mode "connect, conquer, collaborate, create" learning day, process
payments, and publish a marketing site for their school. Enrollment is commonly funded through
state school-choice and education savings account programs. Prenda raised a $20M round led by 776
in 2022.

## API status

Prenda publishes NO public API. As of 2026-08-26 there is no developer portal, no API reference, no
OpenAPI/AsyncAPI/GraphQL/gRPC/WSDL contract, no MCP server, no A2A agent card, no webhook catalog,
and no /.well-known document on any Prenda host. The following were probed and returned no
result: api.prenda.com, developer.prenda.com, docs.prenda.com, dev.prenda.com and app.prenda.com do
not resolve in DNS; /openapi.json, /llms.txt and all of /.well-known/{security.txt,
openid-configuration, oauth-authorization-server, api-catalog, ai-plugin.json, agent-card.json,
agent.json} return 404 on www.prenda.com, help.prenda.com, discover.prenda.com and
microschools.prenda.com. The platform is closed and end-user facing.
